Taking place in October, we <strong>will see a lot of the big names in the game<\/strong>, and Perfect World has finally decided to give us access to more information. With that said, here\u2019s what we need to know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CS Asia Championship 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/twitter.com\/virtuspro\/status\/1951194516213334213\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the information from one of the biggest Esports event organizers, CS Asia Championship <strong>will have a $1M reward<\/strong>. The tournament will include <strong>16 teams<\/strong> in total and <strong>9 of them<\/strong> will receive a direct invitation. Speaking of the devil, the event itself will take place between<strong> October 14-19<\/strong>. Another interesting fact is that the prize pool will be split between teams and players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since <strong>only 9 CS2 teams <\/strong>will receive a CAC invitation, the remaining slots will be given via regional qualifiers. We will have the chance to<strong> watch matches in the Americas, China, and Europe<\/strong>. They will have to determine the <strong>last 7 teams<\/strong> that will participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An interesting fact is that Perfect World already has some experience with Counter-Strike. Even though the event organizer has been focusing only on Dota 2, it also <strong>organized the first Counter-Strike Major in China in 2024<\/strong>, which had over one million viewers. Alongside that. Perfect World also joined forces with PGL and will co-host numerous Dota 2 and CS2 competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Teams &amp; Format<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As mentioned, Perfect World only revealed the directly invited teams for CAC. Unless something drastic changes, the competition will include the <strong>following squads:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>TYLOO<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3DMAX<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>paiN Gaming<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Virtus.Pro<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Team Liquid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Legacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>B8<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FaZe Clan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lynn Vision<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>European region will have a total of 4 slots for the qualifiers<\/strong>. The CS2 teams in the <strong>Americas will have one spot<\/strong>, whereas the <strong>Chinese <\/strong>will get a total of <strong>2 teams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding the format, the 16 CS2 teams will be<strong> split into two groups with 8 teams each<\/strong>. The teams will compete in a <strong>double-elimination bracket<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the group is over, <strong>the winner<\/strong> will get the chance to compete in the <strong>semi-finals<\/strong>. The team that <strong>place 2nd and 3rd <\/strong>will advance to the <strong>quarter-finals<\/strong>. All matches in the Playoffs will be in a <strong>single-elimination bracket<\/strong>, and the series will be in Bo3.
