IEM Rio 2024<\/strong> kicks off tomorrow, and there will be twelve matches played. Eight of them will be best-of-one series, and four will be best-of-three series. We’ve seen all of the teams playing here at IEM Rio 2024<\/strong> recently at different tournaments, such as BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024<\/strong> and ESL Pro League Season 20<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Last time they met at ESL Pro League Season 20<\/strong>, it was Liquid <\/strong>to win with a 2-0 score<\/strong>. Overall, Liquid <\/strong>seems to be a better team, and Complexity <\/strong>seems to be a comfortable team to play against for Liquid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    The number 3 team in the world, Vitality, is <\/strong>against South American team 9z<\/strong>. These two teams met each other in May at IEM Dallas 2024<\/strong>, and Vitality <\/strong>won with a 2-0 score<\/strong>, but both maps were close, and it could go the other way around. Since then, Vitality <\/strong>has become much better as a team, and we will have to see if 9z <\/strong>will be able to make it close like last time or even surprise us with a win.<\/p>\n

    Number 2 team in the world, G2, <\/strong>and the winner of the latest tournament against HEROIC<\/strong>. HEROIC <\/strong>is yet to show what they’re capable against the best teams and this match up doesn’t look good for them since they played seven maps in total against G2 <\/strong>and were ably to win only one. Recent match they had was at IEM Chengdu 2024<\/strong>and G2 <\/strong>won win a 2-0 score<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Both of these teams are known for being inconsistent, and it is hard to tell who is the better team at this moment.These two hadn’t met each other since ESL Pro League Season 19, <\/strong>which was in May and the last time Virtus.pro <\/strong>won with a 2-1 score<\/strong>.Other than that, both teams’ results show us that they’ve yet to find their game and make it consistent.<\/p>\n

We will see if Eternal Fire<\/strong> can keep that form or if it will drop after such a performance at ESL<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
