Nikita “HeavyGod”<\/strong> Martynenko was named the Most Valuable Player<\/strong> of BLAST Open London<\/strong>\u2014his first MVP <\/strong>award at a major LAN event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HeavyGod <\/strong>was already a frontrunner for MVP <\/strong>honors even before the grand final due to his superb performances earlier in the tournament\u2014especially against FaZe<\/strong>, FURIA<\/strong>, and Spirit<\/strong>. Across the LAN, he posted a team-leading 1.25 rating<\/strong>, with a 1.32 rating in LAN play<\/strong>, narrowly eclipsed only by Vitality’s ZywOo <\/strong>and closely trailed by teammate MATYS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pressure-cooker final job sealed it: HeavyGod’s <\/strong>peak form shone brightest on the decisive Map 5<\/strong>, where he outmatched even ZywOo <\/strong>in a head-to-head battle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s Next For Both G2 and Vitality?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We will see G2 <\/strong>shortly at FISSURE Playground 2<\/a><\/strong>, which starts September 12<\/strong>. Their opening match will be against the Chinese team Lynn Vision, <\/strong>and we will have to see if they can keep the fire they had here at BLAST<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vitality <\/strong>seems to be having a small break until next month, when they will play in ESL Pro League Season 22<\/a><\/strong>, which starts on October 3<\/strong>.
