After that, it was time for the Playoffs, which is where we saw three clashes before the Grand Final.

The Playoffs kicked off with a match between Aurora Gaming and Xtreme Gaming. Some people thought the Chinese would succeed, but Aurora proved why the team was among the big favorites. Following three epic games, AG advanced to the LB final, which is where they met Team Liquid.

Speaking of the devil, the BLAST Slam VI winners secured an Upper Bracket slot following an epic performance in Group Stage 2. Everyone was expecting Liquid to rip through Tundra Esports, but it did not happen. Bzm and company had no issues and secured a clean 2-0 series, sending their opponents to the LB Final.

We expected to see a bloodbath in the Aurora Gaming vs Team Liquid clash, but it wasn’t the case. AG was clearly the better team in this match and had two quick victories (34-36 minutes each). This meant it was time for the much-awaited Grand Final.

DreamLeague Season 28 Grand Final

TUNDRA vs AURORA – GRAND FINAL! DREAMLEAGUE SEASON 28 DOTA 2 2026

This was one of those Grand Finals where you really did not know what to expect. Both Dota 2 teams had equal chances of winning and this made the match amazing to watch. The good news is that bot teams did not disappoint.

Aurora Gaming wanted to surprise their opponents in Game 1 by picking an unusual setup with Sniper and Ursa. While it did work at first, Tundra slowly took over and eventually won the map.

AG decided to take no chances in Game 2 and went with the popular Shadow Fiend/Storm Spirit core combo. We thought they’d do well, but Tundra absolutely demolished them with Bzm’s KOTL. Tundra needed just 28 minutes to secure a second victory in the final.

With one game away from losing. Aurora Gaming decided to bet on their Storm once again in Game 3. This time, the squad did exceptionally well and got the lead early on. AG needed just 32 minutes to seal the game and push the series into Game 4.

Sadly, this was not enough for AG to win the competition. Despite losing game 4, Tundra rose from the ashes and secured a clear victory in Game 3. The team rolled out its signature Tinker and go the first big trophy of 2026.

After two weeks of matches, DreamLeague Season 28 is finally over.
