With that said, we could get a clear view of her skill set, so we believe it will remain largely the same. Here is what you can expect:

Q – Emberstrike – Shyvana’s next attack will strike both the target and its surrounding area. While in dragon form, it will gain additional recst and will deal a lot of damage to a single target.

W – Inferno Aegis – The champion will get a shield and movement speed. After a short delay, the area will detonate. While she is in her Dragon Form, the explosion will heal her if it strikes an enemy champion or a monster.

E – Molten Burst – Shyvana launches a fireball that explodes and deals damage and slows down targets. While in dragon form, the ability will pass through and explode upon striking large enemies. It will also leave a trail of fire.

R – Dragon’s Descent – Shyvana will transform into a Dragon and leap forward, fearing all enemies. When in dragon form, she will become larger and her basic abilities will be empowered.

Passive – Scalemail – Killing enemies, large minions, and monsters will grant her Scalemail stacks that give armor and magic resistance.

Shyvana Champion Spotlight | Gameplay – League of Legends

Her passive now resembles a more standard scaling ability. In the past, Shyvana only earned 5 Armor and Magic Resist per Dragon takedown. By extending those bonuses to large minions, jungle camps, and champion kills, it should be much easier to stack and feel more rewarding. Securing four Drakes previously granted just 20 Armor and Magic Resist, which didn’t make much of a difference as the game progressed. With this change, Shyvana could realistically develop into a much stronger mid-to-late game carry.

Aside from that, her E is now much more straightforward to use.

ARAM: Mayhem Will Continue Indefinitely

Alongside the changes to Shyvana, Riot also shared more details about ARAM: Mayhem. Players seem to like the mode a lot, which is why Rito decided to leave it indefinitely.

We won’t be seeing a new champion in Season 1, but this will happen in Season 2.

Even though we expected the much-awaited Shyvana rework to arrive in Season 1 of 2026, Riot revealed it for the subsequent patch.
