The traditional pattern for the Intel Grand Slam<\/strong> has been disrupted due to recent results.G2 <\/strong>triumphed in two out of seven eligible events, MOUZ <\/strong>claimed victory in two out of five, FaZe <\/strong>emerged victorious in two out of three, and Spirit <\/strong>secured a win in a single event. This unique combination creates a ‘V’ shape in the official Intel Grand Slam<\/strong> graphic, signaling a departure from the expected pattern.<\/p>\n

Vitality <\/strong>is the newest team to win IEM Cologne<\/strong>, an ESL Pro Tour Championship <\/strong>tournament. Winning one of these championships and four tournaments in a 10-tournament window is needed to claim the $1 million prize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With Vitality <\/strong>joining the competition, the existing teams are edging closer to the risk of losing their eligibility under the 10-tournament rule. G2 <\/strong>secured an EPT Championship <\/strong>victory at last year’s IEM Cologne<\/strong>, but they will need to win consecutive championships at ESL Pro League<\/strong> and IEM Rio<\/strong>to meet the challenge.<\/p>\n

MOUZ <\/strong>currently has more opportunities than G2<\/strong>, but they have not secured an EPT Championship <\/strong>yet. Similarly, FaZe <\/strong>has more chances than MOUZ <\/strong>and has also not clinched an EPT Championship<\/strong>. On the other hand, Spirit <\/strong>has only one title to their name, which is an EPT Championship <\/strong>won earlier this year at IEM Katowice<\/strong>, and they still have five opportunities to compete for additional titles.<\/p>\n
