Aurora <\/strong>fans will be sad to hear that their favorite team won\u2019t be able to attend the CS Asia Championship<\/strong> due to visa issues. As a result, the tournament\u2019s organizers invited Ninjas in Pajamas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NiP to Take Aurora’s Place at CS Asia Championship 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As it became clear from Perfect World\u2019s announcement<\/a>, Ninjas in Pajamas will be stepping in to replace the Turkish CS2 powerhouse. NiP received an invitation due to its current position on the February Valve Regional Standings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no arguing that the surprising invite is a blessing for the newly formed Danish squad<\/strong>. Before it became clear that NiP would take Aurora\u2019s spot, the team was only going to take part in the Stake Ranked Episode 2<\/strong> before the season came to an end. The current situation gives NiP an additional opportunity to test its luck<\/strong> against some of the best CS2 teams in the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team would have played in various smaller events, which would place it even lower<\/strong> in the rankings, since the others would have more tournaments on their schedule. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CS Asia Championship 2026 Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When it comes down to the CS Asia Championship, we will see some of the world\u2019s best CS2 teams<\/strong> competing for a $1M reward<\/strong>. The event will take place from May 20 to 24<\/strong> in Shanghai, China. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those of you wishing to watch the games will see a total of 16 teams<\/strong>. They will be divided into two big groups of 8 teams<\/strong>, where the winners, runners-up and the 3rd-placed teams<\/strong> will advance to the Playoffs. Once we get there, there will be a single-elimination bracket with Bo3 matches and a Bo5 Grand Final. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
