Valve just announced a major update<\/a> to the Steam Community Market<\/a>. The changes include better item pages, new filtering tools, improved graphs, and much more support for game-specific item data. Counter-Strike 2<\/a> skins are the first to get these upgrades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The update is now in beta and is one of the biggest redesigns the Steam Market has had in years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Valve, the overhaul comes as the platform continues to grow rapidly, with more than 13,000 games <\/strong>now featuring Steam Community items and over 700 games <\/strong>supporting in-game item economies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For CS2 players, however, the changes go far beyond a visual refresh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Valve confirmed that it used Counter-Strike 2<\/strong> items as the primary testing ground for the new system due to the popularity and complexity of the CS2 skin economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the biggest additions is the ability for listings to display unique item-specific visuals and metadata directly on the Steam Market<\/strong> itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously, players often had to inspect skins within the game or use third-party marketplaces to properly evaluate an item before purchasing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
