Liquid <\/strong>has just announced the addition of Torbj\u00c3\u00b8rn ‘mithR’ <\/strong>Nyborg, the former coach of Apeks<\/strong>, as part of the team’s off-season rebuild. This marks the team’s first official signing of the off-season.<\/p>\n

The latest lineup submitted by Liquid for the BLAST Premier Fall Groups<\/strong> reveals that Roland ‘ultimate’ <\/strong>Tomkowiak and Justin ‘jks’ <\/strong>Savage are the final members yet to be announced.<\/p>\n

Liquid <\/strong>made significant changes to their roster during the recent winter player break, including the addition of Wilton ‘zews’<\/strong>Prado, a coach who had won two Majors. However, the team’s performance in the first half of 2024 was disappointing, leading to their failure to qualify for the PGL Major Copenhagen<\/strong>. As a result, the team decided to part ways with ‘zews’ <\/strong>in June.<\/p>\n

mithR <\/strong>has assumed the role of head coach, bringing with him recent experience from coaching Apeks<\/strong>, as well as previous stints with MOUZ <\/strong>and Renegades<\/strong>. Following Jakub ‘kuben’ <\/strong>Gurczy\u00c5\u0084ski’s departure for ENCE<\/strong>, mithR <\/strong>took over at Apeks <\/strong>in September 2023. During his tenure, he helped the team maintain a top 15 world ranking and guided them to second-place finishes at Elisa Masters Espoo<\/strong> and ESL Challenger Atlanta<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In their announcement, Liquid <\/strong>emphasized mithR’s <\/strong>proficiency in developing in-game leaders, highlighting the significance of this skill as Russel ‘Twistzz’ <\/strong>Van Dulken is anticipated to take on the leadership role.<\/p>\n
