FURIA <\/strong>has officially acquired Felipe ‘skullz\u00e2\u0081\u00a0‘ <\/strong>Medeiros from Liquid<\/strong>. The 22-year-old talent is set to step into the roster to address the vacancy left after Andrei ‘arT\u00e2\u0081\u00a0‘ <\/strong>Piovezan was transitioned to the bench following a string of subpar performances in April.<\/p>\n

Following his transfer from paiN <\/strong>in December 2023, ‘skullz’ <\/strong>spent seven months with Liquid<\/strong>. Although his buyout was substantial, estimated to be around $600,000<\/strong>, he faced challenges in making a significant impression on the team, averaging only a 0.98 rating<\/strong> on LAN.<\/p>\n

‘skullz’ <\/strong>was let go after Liquid’s <\/strong>disappointing season, where they missed a Major spot and struggled to compete for trophies. Liquid <\/strong>also benched in-game leader Casper ‘cadiaN’ <\/strong>M\u00c3\u00b8ller and parted ways with head coach Wilton’ zews’Prado as part of their off-season rebuild.<\/p>\n

A return to a Brazilian team could reignite ‘skullz’<\/strong>career and catapult FURIA to contenders once again.<\/p>\n

After winning the title at Elisa Masters Espoo 2023<\/strong>, FURIA <\/strong>experienced a lack of joy during the first quarter of 2024, leading to the departure of ‘arT’<\/strong>, who had been with the team since early 2018.<\/p>\n

During the season’s final months, FURIA <\/strong>had Kayke ‘kye’ <\/strong>Bertolucci as a stand-in, but he failed to make an impression and received criticism for his performances. Additionally, alongside ‘skullz’s <\/strong>arrival, Nicholas’ guerri’ Nogueira transitioned to a Head of Esports role, allowing assistant coach Sid ‘sidde’<\/strong>Macedo to take charge of the team.<\/p>\n

Next week, the talented player known as ‘skullz’ <\/strong>will be making his debut appearance for FURIA <\/strong>at the Esports World Cup<\/strong>. The team is set to go up against Natus Vincere in the first round. Following this exciting event, FURIA <\/strong>is scheduled to participate in the Skyesports Championship<\/strong> later this month, which will be held in Mumbai, India.<\/p>\n
