These maps mark the first non-Valve creations to be officially integrated into the game since its release and its update from <strong>CS:GO<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memento <\/strong>and <strong>Assembly <\/strong>have been added to <strong>Wingman<\/strong>, and<strong> Pool Day <\/strong>has been introduced to the <strong>Arms Race<\/strong> pool. However, despite high anticipation for new content to mark the <strong>25th anniversary<\/strong> of Counter-Strike, only minimal changes have been implemented alongside the launch of these community maps.<\/p>\n<div class=\"_44tKOV3EvA2Ivv21VkJmnQ==\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/blix.gg\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/21a91257397ee39a.png\"> <span><\/span><\/div>\n<p><strong>&#8216;Thera&#8217;<\/strong>, formerly known in <strong>CS:GO <\/strong>as <strong>&#8216;Santorini&#8217;<\/strong>, was created by Shawn <strong>&#8216;FMPONE&#8217; <\/strong>Snelling, one of the designers of <strong>&#8216;Cache&#8217;<\/strong>. It is available in <strong>Competitive<\/strong>, <strong>Casual<\/strong>, and <strong>Deathmatch <\/strong>modes, along with <strong>Mills<\/strong>, created by <strong>&#8216;catfood&#8217;<\/strong>, the maker of <strong>Tuscan <\/strong>and <strong>Shipped <\/strong>maps.<\/p>\n<p>In the latest update, the <strong>MVP <\/strong>panel has been revamped in all game modes, with new animated <strong>MVP <\/strong>panels introduced for Premier matches. The update also includes several new <strong>MVP <\/strong>conditions and adjustments to previous <strong>MVP <\/strong>rules.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>non-Premier<\/strong> competitive matchmaking, the number of wins required to display your map-specific skill group has been reduced from ten to two. Using your display&#8217;s highest refresh rate is generally recommended.<\/li>\n<li>Added a<strong> Settings Recommendation<\/strong> popup if <strong>NVIDIA G-Sync<\/strong> support is detected but not enabled at startup. Using<strong> G-Sync<\/strong> is generally recommended if your system supports it.<\/li>\n<li>Added a <strong>Settings Recommendation<\/strong> popup if <strong>NVIDIA G-Sync<\/strong> is enabled but not<strong> V-Sync <\/strong>and\/or <strong>NVIDIA Reflex<\/strong>. It is generally recommended to enable all three settings together when they are available. Applying these settings will limit your frame rate to your display&#8217;s refresh rate or slightly lower, usually the smoothest-looking and lowest input latency settings combination. Check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.steampowered.com\/en\/faqs\/view\/418E-7A04-B0DA-9032%20for%20technical%20details.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a> (technical details). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Other Video Settings<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Removed &#8220;<strong>Main Menu Background Scenery<\/strong>&#8221; and &#8220;<strong>Item Inspect Background Scenery<\/strong>&#8221; settings from the <strong>Video Setting<\/strong>s page. These settings are still available on the Main Menu and in the Item Inspect screens, respectively.<\/li>\n<li>The &#8220;<strong>Refresh Rate<\/strong>&#8221; setting shows your display&#8217;s current refresh rate in the Windowed and Fullscreen Windowed modes.<\/li>\n<li>Removed the &#8220;<strong>Laptop Power Savings<\/strong>&#8221; setting, which has never been configurable in CS2.<\/li>\n<li>Added a &#8220;<strong>Frame Pacing<\/strong>&#8221; section to the <strong>Advanced Video<\/strong> settings page.<\/li>\n<li>I added an &#8220;<strong>NVIDIA G-Sync<\/strong>&#8221; row to the <strong>Frame Pacing<\/strong> section, which tells you whether or not <strong>G-Sync<\/strong> is active with your current display settings. This row may be hidden if you&#8217;re using the Vulkan renderer or if you&#8217;re not using an <strong>NVIDIA graphics card<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Added &#8220;<strong>Maximum FPS In Game<\/strong>&#8221; and &#8220;<strong>Maximum FPS In Menu<\/strong>s&#8221; sliders to the <strong>Frame Pacing<\/strong> section.
