The 17-year-old wreaked havoc in his debut <strong>S-level<\/strong> tournament, defeating all opponents on his way to winning <strong>IEM Katowice 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, he repeated the record for the best performance at an <strong>S-level <\/strong>tournament, previously held by <strong>NiKo<\/strong> at <strong>IEM New York 2017<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>At\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blix.gg\/news\/iem-katowice-2024-main-stage-overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IEM Katowice<\/a>, <strong>FaZe<\/strong> also reached their sixth consecutive CS2 tournament grand finals, having won the first three. With this level of stability, they will be one of the favorites for the upcoming <strong>PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>However, the victory in the tournament went to Team Spirit.<\/p>\n<p>Over <strong>17 teams<\/strong> have reserved their place at the <strong>European RMR tournaments<\/strong>, including the first <strong>CS2 Major<\/strong>. Among the absentees are <strong>Astralis<\/strong>, <strong>Team Falcons<\/strong>, <strong>Monte<\/strong>, <strong>GamerLegion<\/strong>, and <strong>NIP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seven more teams<\/strong> will join the European competition &#8211; two from <strong>RMR Asia<\/strong> and five from the <strong>Americas<\/strong>. Still, it will be interesting to see which Asian teams qualify and whether they can take advantage of the home crowd.<\/p>\n<p>The open stage will be held on the Swiss system with <strong>16 teams<\/strong>, and at the qualifying stage, we will see another format of the Swiss system with 16 teams.
