One of just two permanent players left on the Heroic roster for BLAST Premier Fall Final, Rene ‘\u009cTeSeS’\u009d Madsen is ready to give it his all in order to retain his crown.<\/p>\n
Before the event, we spoke to TeSeS about two of the players who will be standing in for Heroic, Peter ‘\u009cdupreeh’\u009d Rasmussen and Rasmus ‘\u009cZyphon’\u009d Nordfoss, as well as what it was like to win the Fall Final in front of a home crowd last year.<\/p>\n
Sam ‘\u009cAN1MO’\u009d McKenzie, BLIX: You’\u0099re now playing with dupreeh, a player who has played similar roles to yourself, for the rest of the year. Is there anything you’\u0099re trying to learn from his experience?<\/strong><\/p>\n TeSeS: <\/strong>I’\u0099m trying to learn from him as much as possible. He had an amazing career, and I can feel he wants even more, which is very positive and says a lot about him as a person. He’\u0099s a great guy and wants to share his knowledge; it’\u0099s always easy to come to him and ask what he thinks about things in-game or outside of the game.<\/p>\n BLIX: You will also be playing with Zyphon at the Fall Final, a player who seemed to have huge potential but, unlike his former CPH Flames teammates, has been outside of tier one; how good do you think he can be? Are you looking forward to playing alongside him?<\/strong><\/p>\n TeSeS: <\/strong>He definitely has the mechanical skills to be on a top team. I’\u0099m looking forward to seeing him pop some headshots and hopefully make it all the way to the arena and have a chance to lift the trophy.<\/p>\n BLIX: Last year, you won the Fall Final. What was it like to win in front of your home crowd like that?<\/strong><\/p>\n TeSeS: <\/strong>It was a dream come true and the biggest moment of my career so far. It was a pleasure to share that win with friends and family in the arena. I will remember it forever!<\/p>\n BLIX: The odds may be stacked against you this year, considering the stand-ins, but are you confident of repeating that victory?<\/strong><\/p>\n TeSeS: <\/strong>We will try our absolute best, obviously, it’\u0099s not the best circumstances, but that hasn’t held us back before.<\/p>\n BLIX: How are you adapting to CS2? Do you feel the game benefits your playstyle?<\/strong><\/p>\n TeSeS: <\/strong>I’\u0099m trying to play as much as I can and adapt as best as possible. It has become more advantageous to peek and that is making my role easier in terms of taking map control and being the guy that usually runs in first. With that said, it, of course, goes both ways, and it’\u0099s also easier for the opponent. It can be difficult as CT to hold angles on different positions.<\/p>\n BLIX: Finally, looking ahead to next year, the Copenhagen Major is coming up, and you’\u0099ve come close in Majors before, what would it mean to finally get that Major win in front of your home crowd?<\/strong><\/p>\n TeSeS: <\/strong>It’\u0099s the ultimate thing to do; the dream has always been to win a Major and doing it in front of a home crowd would be the best feeling ever. Just thinking about it puts a smile on my face.
