Following Vitality’s win over G2 at the BLAST.tv Paris Major RMR, BLIX sat down with Vitality and Astralis legend Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen to discuss being an esports professional after having a child, how it feels to be the only player to qualify to every Major and his feelings about CS2.<\/p>\n
Hugo “TheSwedishJoker” Nilsson Meier, BLIX: So, you’\u0099ve recently become a father. How has life changed for you as a CS:GO player? Have the routines changed now that you have a kid?<\/strong><\/p>\n Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen: <\/strong>Not that much, not in terms of the team. The only thing that changed is I get up a lot earlier so I will put up a lot of my individual hours early in the day, between 6 and 9 in the morning. I think that’\u0099s the whole thing, other than that I don’\u0099t think anything changed. I’\u0099m still going to all the tournaments and my girlfriend at home is taking care of our kid, so it wouldn’\u0099t be possible without her.<\/p>\n BLIX: You’\u0099re the only CS:GO player to have competed at all of the Majors. Knowing this will be the last CS:GO Major, do you feel a bit sentimental coming into it?<\/strong><\/p>\n dupreeh: <\/strong>Both yes and no, obviously it means a lot to me to be the only player to have played all nineteen but it’\u0099s not something I’\u0099ve put too much heart into. Now that I’\u0099ve gotten it, yes, I’\u0099m really proud of it, but it’\u0099s not something I focused on doing and achieving or anything. Being the last Major in CS:GO, it’\u0099s been a really long career for me and I’\u0099ve been playing them all, that’\u0099s very unique. In some sense it’\u0099s sad but it’\u0099s also exciting that we’\u0099re going to have Counter-Strike 2 because CS:GO has been the game I’\u0099ve had all of my career.<\/p>\n BLIX: CS2 will not be released until this summer, but have you had any chance to try the beta yet?<\/strong><\/p>\n dupreeh: <\/strong>I played a couple of hours on the beta but that’\u0099s all I’\u0099ve done. I was more focused on obviously preparing for the Major and the RMR here, so that’\u0099s what my full focus was on, and we’\u0099ll see what happens after the summer.<\/p>\n BLIX: Will we see you still competing in CS2, after Paris?<\/strong><\/p>\n Dupreeh: <\/strong>I hope so! That’\u0099s what I wish for and then we’\u0099ll see what happens.
