The first quarter-final of IEM Melbourne 2025 will see GamerLegion face off against Falcons. These teams have played quite a few times against each other recently. The last one was at the PGL Bucharest 2025 quarter-finals, and Falcons managed to win with a 2-1 score after losing the first map. We will see if GamerLegion learned its lesson from the last match between these two.

They’re a great team with young players mixed with experienced players, and they show great results so far, but the hardest thing is to stay consistent. At this tournament, they managed to win against 3DMAX, Complexity, and FaZe, and the only team they lost to was MOUZ. Most of the time, it’s ‘REZ’ and ‘PR’, which you can see at the top of the scoreboard for GamerLegion. They’re their star players, so having them in great shape is good. 

Falcons

Since they won PGL Bucharest 2025 and became even stronger with the addition of one of the best players in the world, ‘m0NESY’, to their roster, they were expected to go well at this tournament, and so they did until now. They won against SAW and Natus Vincere in a group stage, and the only team they lost to was Vitality. Vitality is currently an unbeatable team with a 19-match win streak, so it doesn’t say anything bad about Falcon’s form. In their match against Vitality, ‘m0NESY’ and ‘NiKo’ led the team, and they made it close on the first map, which was a great success since it was their first tournament in the updated roster. ‘NiKo’ is in good shape, the same as ‘m0NESY’, and it seems they’re both motivated even more now as they’re back to playing together on one team.

Match Prediction

Considering the experience factor of both teams and the fact that the Falcons are more experienced as a team here, it will give them the advantage they need, especially on a big stage. We expect the Falcons to win this match.
