At the time of writing, ESL One Bangkok 2024 is the last big Dota 2 tournament for the current year. The best teams are gathered in Thailand and will compete for the massive prize pool. With that said, 2025 is just around the corner, and, as you will see in just a bit, it is full of surprises.
Even though we’re not in 2025 yet, we already have access to the professional Dota 2 tournament schedule. Not all events have been announced, but we already know some details about the big ones. That’s why it’s time to go over the 2025 Dota 2 Tournaments and learn some details about each one.

FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025
From what we know, the first big Dota 2 tournament of 2025 that players will have access to is the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025. Taking place in Serbia’s capital, the $1,000,000 tournament will consist of 16 teams.
Speaking of the teams, we are not fully aware of who will take part in it. This is because there will be qualifications for the event, which will start on December 14, 2025. In terms of the actual tournament, FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025 will be played between Jan 24 and Feb 2.
In addition to the qualifiers, 11 teams will receive a direct invitation. They have not been announced yet, but we expect to see all the big names right now.
BLAST Slam II
A day after FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2024 ends, Dota 2 fans will have access to another fantastic event. This time, it is BLAST Slam II, the second “version” of the tournament that took place just a few days ago.
Unlike most of the Dota 2 tournaments that will be held in 2025, this one will be in an offline format. Despite that, it comes with a jaw-dropping $1,000,000 prize pool that 10 teams will be fighting for. Speaking of the teams, we do not know their names yet, but we expect to learn this very soon.
BLAST Slam II will be held between February 3 and February 9, 2025. Unless the organizers decide to change something drastically, we expect to see some format like BLAST Slam I.
DreamLeague Season 25
DreamLeague is one of the most successful Dota 2 tournament series in history, so it’s no surprise we have Season 25. Organized by ESL Gaming, DL S25 will be an online event that will include 16 teams. We’re yet to learn their names, but we have no doubt the organizers will ensure that all of them are on another level.
In terms of the tournament’s prize pool, it also comes with a reward of $1,000,000. Alongside the cash prize, teams will also receive EPT points. We won’t go into any more detail, so make sure to follow us for our detailed review.
In terms of the dates of this Dota 2 tournament, it will begin on February 16 and end on March 2.
PGL Wallachia Season 3
Another of the Dota 2 tournaments in 2025 that you should pay close attention to is PGL Wallachia Season 3. Following the very successful Season 2, 16 teams will gather once again in Bucharest, Romania.
The teams will compete between March 8 and 16 and do their best to win a share of the $1M prize pool. Similar to the PGL Wallachia Season 2, this one will also have a slightly different format from what we’ll find on other events. This makes it even more interesting to watch.
ESL One Raleigh 2025
It’s been a while since we have had a big Dota 2 competition in the USA, but 2025 is about to change that. Taking place between April 7-13, ESL One Raleigh 2025 will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina. The event comes with 12 teams that will all do their best to win the massive $1,000,000 prize pool.
We do not know any of the participating teams yet, but 4 of them will be from the ETP leaderboard. The rest will have to compete in the qualifiers that will take place before the event itself.
PGL Wallachia Season 4
It seems like the PGL Wallachie Dota 2 tournament series was so successful in 2024 that the organizers decided to give us 2 dates for 2025. Following Season 4, which will take place in March, we’ll also see PGL Wallachia Season 4. It will be held between April 19-27 in Bucharest, Romania.
Besides the dates, PGL Wallachia Season 4 will be the same as Season 3. In other words, we’ll have the same $1M prize pool, 16 teams, and format. It will be very interesting to see if we will also see the same teams. The two PGL Wallachia Seasons are just a month apart, so it will likely happen.
Blast Slam III
Speaking of tournaments that we will see more of, Blast Slam III is also one of them. 3 months after the 2nd version of the competition, Dota 2 fans will have the chance to see the 3rd version. 10 of the world’s best teams will take part in the competition between May 5-11.
Like seasons I and II, this one also has a $1M prize pool. The teams here will all be directly invited, so we can expect to see the best of the best.
DreamLeague Season 26
ESL has another DreamLeague Dota 2 tournament lined up for us, and this time, it is season 26. Like S25, this one will come with a $1,000,000 reward and 16 teams. The tournament will be held between May 12-25, and aside from the cash prize, teams will also win EPT points.
Esports World Cup 2025
Even though this will not be an exclusive 2025 Dota 2 tournament, the Esports World Cup 2025 will feature our favorite game. Considering that this will be one of the biggest events of the year, we expect to see a lot of big names. Sadly, we do not have any information in terms of participants, format, and dates, so make sure to follow us for more details.
Conclusion
These are all of the 2024 Dota 2 events that we are currently aware of. As we are slowly approaching the new year, there will be even more tournaments to choose from, and it will be very interesting to learn more about them.
