Are you looking for ways to dominate in the Dota 2 patch 7.35? We break down some tips to help you do just that.

There are many different types of Dota 2 players out there, but there is one thing they all have in common - their desire to win. Everyone wants to be better than the rest, which explains why Dota 2 is among the most competitive games.

The new Dota 2 patch 7.35 will drop in the next few days. We expect many changes because this will be the first big update after The International 12. Although no one knows what Valve will offer, you can do some important things if you want to dominate in Dota 2 patch 7.35, so let’s learn more. Don’t forget to follow the latest post TI 12 roster changes if you want to stay updated with everything new.

Start using the heroes with the most buffs

It probably doesn’t come as a surprise the Dota 2 patch 7.35 will include many hero changes. Some of the best options, such as Witch Doctor and Spectre, will probably receive nerfs, but Valve will buff many heroes.

No one knows what the meta will be like, but judging from our experience with previous patches, the heroes who receive buffs are the ones who dominate the meta; this is especially true for PUB games, where players tend to start “abusing” the buffed heroes right away.

If you want to be in a good position when the new patch 7.35 drops, read all hero and item changes carefully and start using the heroes who got buffed. Some of you may need help with doing that if the strong hero in the meta is not your go-to option, but learning how to use it properly will pay off.

Pay close attention to the best Dota 2 players

Even though some of you might think you're better than the rest at Dota 2, the difference between professional and high-MMR players is still vast. Therefore, one of the things you can do to dominate when Dota 2's Patch 7.35 drops is to pay special attention to the best players in the world.

There are many ways to achieve this, and you should focus on what the pros are doing, because it will allow you to see which heroes are strong and, more importantly, what items they're building for them. Professional players are among the first to discover what’s hot in the current meta, so if you pay close attention, you can be one of the first PUB players to use this to your advantage.

A crucial thing to pay attention to is the item build because professional players are known for experimenting. We've seen numerous examples of items and heroes that shouldn't work together on paper, but they've had excellent results in pro games. For example, Topson’s Diffusal Blade purchase on Gyrocopter a few years ago was questionable, but it was the item that won OG a crucial game.

Check platforms like Reddit

Let’s face it: Reddit is not the best place to learn about Dota 2 tactics because it is full of people who have no idea what they are doing. However, when a new patch comes out, it could be a valuable source of information.

Once there is a new Dota 2 patch, players usually post interesting results and hero/item combinations to brag. Keeping an eye on those things can help you a lot once 7.35 arrives because you may notice a given tactic that has good results. Many Dota 2 players need to remember about this palace, but it has great potential.

The same applies to Twitter, but the latter is less significant than Reddit regarding Dota 2. You can follow the best Dota 2 players in action and see if they complain about a given hero or item.

Use the new items

We are still determining whether the Dota 2 Patch 7.35 will give us access to new items. However, we have seen a lot of previous patches that offered us such things, which means there is an excellent chance to see new items. If that’s the case, it is probably a good idea to start using them immediately because they should be strong.

One of the things we often see after a new patch which adds new heroes and items, is a following patch that nerfs those things to achieve the right balance across the hero and item pool. In other words, Valve almost always makes the new options stronger than they should be, meaning you should take full advantage of the situation.

As mentioned, it depends on the update and the new items we can access. There have been cases where the latest additions to Dota 2 could be better, and people avoid using them, but this usually isn't the case. So, open Dota 2, go to the demo mode, and test the new items. If they are worth it, jump in and start using them before Valve nerfs everything.

Try to help your teammates before and after picking a hero

While this tip can backfire and cause many problems, sometimes, your Dota 2 teammates might be willing to listen. When that’s the case and you already have some information about the Dota 2 patch 7.35 and what works best, definitely share it with your team. Some will listen to you and pick a specific hero because it works.

The bad news about this tactic is it can only work once you reach a specific MMR bracket. Lower-rated Dota 2 players seldom listen to what others say because they think they know everything, even though this certainly isn't the case.
