Representing PCS as the second seed, Huang "HuSha" Tzu-Wei and the rest of Beyond Gaming came to Worlds 2022 with the chance to double the number of PCS teams in groups, a remarkable achievement for any minor region to aim for. They took down LOUD in their first match and later took down CHF.

Unfortunately, Beyond Gaming was eliminated from Worlds after going 2-3 in their group. We spoke with HuSha after their loss against Fnatic in the Play-ins group stage about the matchup, the most surprising aspect of their Worlds run, and more.

Aykut Sapaz, BLIX.GG: Hello HuSha, thank you so much for your time and condolences on your loss against Fnatic. What are your thoughts on the matchup?

HuSha: I feel really bad about this game because in the early game, we did so well, and we got some advantage, but we cannot grab it in the mid-game, especially in team fights, so we didn’t want this. I feel really bad.

BLIX: Where do you think the teamfights went wrong for you?

HuSha: Okay, so, with our team comp, naturally, we can find some chance to engage first, but we didn’t grab that chance, and the like, like play so aggressive, so we lost it.

BLIX: That is very insightful. Are you happy with your performance in play-ins in your group?

HuSha: I’m not quite satisfied with my performance because I cannot think back, you know, nowadays.

BLIX: Okay. What was the biggest, and what was the most surprising thing throughout their Worlds journey? Like throughout play-ins, maybe a pick or a match going differently than you thought or something like that?

HuSha: I must say, in the game against DFM, I was Maokai; I tried to chase up Lillia. I thought that was a great chance, but it turned out to be a really bad result, so I’m so regretful about it.

BLIX: It happens to us all. How does it feel to play on the international stage, in Worlds?

HuSha: It’s an honor that we can face teams from all over the world and different players. I think they are really strong.

BLIX: All right. Lastly, is there any message you want to send to Beyond Gaming fans or HuSha fans?

HuSha: I’m sorry that we have disappointed you again.

BLIX: Hopefully, you guys will get better luck next time, and thank you so much for your time.

HuSha: Thank you.
