BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 turned out to be among the most intriguing Dota 2 tournaments in 2024. We saw the 12 best teams in the world against each other in Serbia. In the end, it was Team Falcons that won the big prize.
BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 was played on Dota 2 patch 7.37d, which features a couple of interesting changes. There is always a small difference between the PUB and PRO meta, and this event was no exception. Nevertheless, some of the current PUB stars were also present at this event.
A lot of people are eager to learn more about the best heroes at the tournament, so let’s go over them. It will be very interesting to see if the same picks will dominate DreamLeague Season 24, which starts just a few days from now.
Clockwerk
With a total of 47 picks, Clockwerk became the most popular Dota 2 hero at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024. Despite the high number of appearances, Clock is also among the heroes that have a positive win rate (53.19%). This is probably not surprising because Clock’s win rate in PUB games is 52.63%, making him among the most successful heroes.
There are a lot of reasons why Clockwerk is so strong right now. If we take a look at the most recent patch, we can see that Expanded Armature was slightly changed. Instead of pulling enemy heroes to the center of the formation, they are placed as far away as possible and do not touch a cog. This was an interesting change that seemed to make the hero a lot better.
Apart from that, Clockwerk was big at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 because of his overall utility. He is among the best heroes when it comes down to scouting and initiating. That’s why he has 25 victories and 22 losses.
Muerta
Another very popular BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 pick was Muerta. Although she was not that sought-after in the first half of 2024, the hero slowly made its way into the professional meta.
With a total of 43 picks, Muerta became the go-to option for a lot of players at the tournaments. Unlike Clockwerk, however, Muerta’s win is not that good (44.19%) because it seems like pro players have a better way of dealing with her.
In terms of changes, the 7.37d Dota 2 patch gave Muerta a small buff. Her Pierce the Veil ability now lasts for 8s on all levels instead of 6/7/8s. Even after these changes, however, the hero only secured 19 wins and got 24 losses.
Shadow Fiend
When it comes down to Dota 2 mid laners, Shadow Fiend has always been one of the names that come to mind. He is the go-to option for tons of PUB players, but it seems like the current meta also makes him a good choice for professionals.
After the end of the tournament, Shadow Fiend ended with a total of 34 picks. Similar to Muerta, however, his win rate (44.12%) is not that impressive because he has 19 losses and 15 wins. One of the reasons for this is the fact that he is very fragile, making it easy for the enemy team to gank him.
If we take a look at the PUB Dota 2 scene, we can see that Shadow Fiend is among the most picked heroes in the game. He also has an impressive 50.83% win rate (at the time of writing), so we believe he will continue to play a key role for a lot of players. Unlike the two heroes mentioned above, Shadow Fiend did not receive any changes in the 7.37d Dota 2 patch.
Storm Spirit
On the topic of mid-laners, the next name on the list that we saw a lot at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 is Storm Spirit. He has always been one of those heroes that has had a big impact on the professional scene. It seems like the current meta is also good for SS because the hero appeared in a total of 34 games.
In terms of the stats, Storm Spirit has 17 wins and 17 losses, which is not that bad when you compare it to Shadow Fiend. In terms of its PUB presence, Storm Spirit has a 50% win rate, which is a bit lower compared to SF.
Tusk
Although he is not as strong or popular as Clockwerk, no one can deny that Tusk is an excellent pick right now. A lot of teams used the hero during BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, making him a very popular pick. Now that the tournament is over, we can see that he appeared in 31 matches and has a total of 13 wins and 18 losses.
Unlike a lot of the heroes mentioned earlier, Tusk received two changes in the Dota 2 patch 7.37d. The hero’s Tag Team facet now deals a bit less bonus damage than before. As for his Drinking Buddies Facet, the MS decrease is a bit lower on the first 3 levels, and the alt-cast behavior now has 50% of the base spell’s cast range.
Despite being a popular pick at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, like in the event, Tusk’s PUB stats are not that impressive. With just a 6% pick rate and close to a 46.29% win rate, the hero is definitely not the go-to option right now.
Luna
Aside from Muerta, Luna is the second carry that was among the most popular heroes at the Dota 2 tournament. What’s really impressive about her is that she has among the highest win rates at the event. After a total of 30 matches, Luna has 18 wins and 12 losses and ends with a 60% win rate.
Similar to Tusk, Luna also got a few interesting changes in the recent Dota 2 patch. Her Lucent Beam got slightly nerfed because it deals less damage than before. Moonstorm also received changes because it no longer grants extra damage when hitting illusions. Also, the damage buff per beam is slightly lower than before.
As for Luna’s PUB stats, she is as popular as ever. With close to an 18% pick rate and 51.65% win rate, she is among the most successful carries right now.
