Although the Aegis has only gone to Eastern Europe twice, 2023 could be the year this will happen again. BetBoom Team is one of the best in the world right now and has players eager to become Dota 2 legends. The team achieved reasonably good results, making it one of the hidden favorites at TI 12.

Starting in less than a month from now, The International 12 will bring together all of the best teams in the world. They will compete for a prize pool that we are yet to learn more about, as well as for fame and glory. After all, winning The International is the highest achievement you can get in Dota 2.

Since some people need to learn more about BetBoom Team, this article will review everything about them. We will learn more details about the squad's results so far and what we can expect in the future.

BetBoom Team Overview

There's no arguing that this is one of the most interesting Eastern European Dota 2 organizations. After entering the Dota 2 stage, the squad achieved good results with the roster around SoNNeikO. However, after the initial hype, the latter couldn't live up to the expectations, so BetBoom Team dropped its roster in 2022 and got a new one.

Nowadays, the team consists of the following players:

  • Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko
  • Danil "gpk" Skutin
  • Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko
  • Vitalie "Save-" Melnic
  • Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek

Each player is some of the best in their position, so it's no surprise that the BetBoom Team had pretty good results. TORONTOKYTO is the most intriguing name on the squad because he was Team Spirit's mid-laner when they won The International 10. We expected to see him as the squad's Position 2, but this wasn't the case because he decided to play support.

Another interesting change a few months ago is that Pure moved to the offlaner. This means that Nightfall became the team's carry.

Considering that the new BetBoom Team roster joined the squad in late 2022, this will be the first International for the team. Some already have a lot of experience, so it will be interesting to see what will happen.

BetBoom Team's Results in 2023

2023 did not start well for the newly formed team because BetBoom Team couldn't do anything significant during The Lima Major 2023. Although we expected the squad to achieve good results, the EEU team finished second-last in Group B, resulting in an elimination. Considering the dreadful result, BB Team did not receive a slot for DreamLeague Season 19.

When we thought the problems were over, BetBoom Team failed to show its prowess during the ESL One Berlin Major 2023. After seducing six draws, one win, and one loss, the squad finished 7th, resulting in an elimination.

The good news is that things changed during DreamLeague Season 20 because BetBoom Team stepped up its game. The squad came second in the first and second Group Stages and even defeated PSG.LGD to reach the Grand Final. Sadly, after an epic battle with Gaimin Gladiators, BB Team couldn't prevail and lost the final.

The Bali Major 2023 was also a successful tournament for the Eastern European roster. BetBoom Team finished second in Group B and defeated Tundra Esports. However, one of the squad's players was caught spying on the enemies, resulting in a loss. The backlash affected the young team, and they lost to Azure Ray in R1 of the Lower Bracket.

BetBoom Team performed well at the Riyadh Masters 2023 and finished first in Group B. The team eliminated 9Pandas, one of its arch-nemesis, but it couldn't do the same with Team Spirit. After the loss, the roster was in the LB, where it also failed to defeat Gaimin Gladiators.

BetBoom Dacha

The second-last tournament before The International 12 was called BetBoom Dacha, and as its name suggests, it was organized by this team. Even though it wasn't as big as the rest, BB Dacha included several big names. One of them was BetBoom Team itself, but the roster disappointed its fans because it couldn't do anything.

After finishing last in Group A, BetBoom Team was eliminated from the tournament it organized. As expected, Gaimin Gladiators won yet another event. They proved to the world that they would be the biggest contender for The International 12.

Conclusion

Overall, BetBoom Team's results are not as consistent as those of some of the best teams in the world. However, we've seen at least a few tournaments where the team performed much better than everyone else, meaning BB Team has what it takes to be a future champion.

Since there is still time before The International 12, the best Dota 2 teams in the world will gather one last time before that to play at DreamLeague Season 21. This will be the final challenge for all favorites, meaning it will be one of the most exciting events to watch.

Remember that Valve announced there won't be any DPC in 2024. Some people are not optimistic about it, but we believe there will be more events to watch. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for us, so follow Blix.GG for additional details.
