Gearbox Studios and 2K have announced the postponement of Borderlands 4. The game will be released on September 12, not September 23, as planned. Gearbox Entertainment president Randy Pitchford announced this on his social networks.
In his statement, Pitchford said that the game is in excellent condition. The developers are actively preparing it for release and are confident about the updated timeline.
In the video, Pitchford also announced that 2K and PlayStation will hold a joint State of Play presentation dedicated to Borderlands 4. The event will take place from April 30 to May 1 and will show extensive gameplay of the upcoming shooter. They promise over 20 minutes of βnew weapons, abilities, missions, and more.β
Catch the show live on PlayStation’s Twitch and YouTube channels on April 30 at 2 pm PT /5 pm ET /10 pm BST / 11 pm CEST. Borderlands 4 has been announced for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The events of Borderlands 4 will unfold on the dangerous planet Kairos, ruled by the despotic Timekeeper. Players will have to ignite the fire of resistance and fight the ruthless tyrant, who is on the way to destroying hordes of enemies.
It is reported that Borderlands is positioned as the most ambitious installment of the series. The shooter will turn the user into an unstoppable force on the battlefield, which, thanks to gameplay improvements, cleverly sows death from all directions.
