Rumors and speculations about GTA 6 continue circulating as fans eagerly await further updates on the most anticipated game in history.
The only official content we’ve gotten from Rockstar Games is the first and only trailer for GTA 6, which was released in December 2023. However, Vice President of Finance Ronald van Veen recently said that he expects GTA 6 to be released on PC in early 2026, in February 2025.
Rockstar has not commented on the likely release date for the PC port, so the comment has left many people wondering if Corsair, a PC gaming company, has insider information on the game’s development.
In a comment to IGN, a Corsair representative clarified that van Veen’s comments were just speculation and that the company has not heard any information from Rockstar or Take-Two Interactive about the exact release dates of the game.
The only thing fans know for sure about the PC release is that it will come after the game’s release on consoles. It’s standard practice for GTA games to skip PC at launch because it boosts console sales. Focusing on Xbox and PlayStation first helps Rockstar capitalize on this early opportunity before entering the PC market.
Meanwhile, some stores have already started taking pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI. Reddit users noticed the unusual action.
The first pre-orders were reported by a gamer from Malaysia, where the chain of stores Gamers Hideout offers to reserve a copy of the game for $3. This way, you can pre-order other games in addition to GTA VI.
Some gamers were confused by this approach, which they considered a scam. Others noted that some retailers offer to pre-order with the data in the database for a symbolic amount. Later, when the official sales start, the store will order the required copies and the paid fee will be deducted from the final cost. This is how stores expect to meet demand and avoid the influx of resellers at the release.
