The Finnish organization JANO officially announced on Monday that they have successfully signed two new players, Jussi ‘Airax’ Airaksinen and Joel ‘Jelo’ Lentonen. This strategic move aims to fill the gaps left by the recent departures of Sami ‘xseveN’ Laasanen and Juho ‘juho’ Lampinen. With these new additions, JANO is looking to strengthen their roster and enhance their performance in upcoming competitions.
The Finnish team recently participated in the Elisa Masters Espoo, showcasing their skills in a thrilling series of matches. In a highly anticipated elimination clash, they emerged victorious against the renowned Ninjas in Pyjamas, solidifying their place in Group A. However, their journey came to an end in the decisive match, where they faced off against B8, ultimately falling short in their bid to advance further in the tournament.
‘Airax’, stepping into the role of in-game leader, had actively sought a new team since his departure from HAVU in August. His commitment to finding a suitable squad reflects his dedication to competitive gaming and desire for new challenges.
‘Jelo’ is well-acquainted with JANO, having spent an entire year competing under their banner from 2023 to 2024. Following his tenure there, he transitioned to HAVU, where he showcased his skills and played a pivotal role in helping the team secure a commendable third-place finish at the Elisa Esports eSM, the intense LAN qualifier for the prestigious Masters Espoo tournament.
JANO has announced the return of head coach Slaava ‘Twista’ Räsänen. The 37-year-old former ENCE coach had been without a team since April, following the departure of Rare Atom’s European contingent from the organization. Twista’s return is expected to rejuvenate the team as they seek success.
