Players use weapon skins and different gloves and even select individual players for special forces and terrorists to match their unique styles. One way to customize weapons is with stickers. Players can use stickers to decorate guns, show support for eSports teams, or honor special events.

The sticker price starts at 0.01 dollars and ends at tens of thousands, so this way of showing individuality will be available to everyone. In this article, the Blix team will explain the sticker system, its cost, and everything else.

How To Get Stickers in CS2

Stickers in CS2 can be obtained in several ways:

    • Players can buy sticker capsules in the in-game store or on the trading floor;
    • A player can get a sticker by trading with other players;
    • A player can get a sticker capsule at significant tournaments for specific actions.

Please note that, unlike skins, stickers cannot be used in Trade Up contracts – exchanging ten items of the same type and rarity for one item one rarity level higher. In addition, the player cannot get stickers in the weekly drop.

There is always some mystery in stickers and not just with the price. For example, we have an article about the recent Major: “Chinese Symbols on Shanghai Major Stickers: What Do They Mean?”.

    Types of Stickers in CS2

    Sticker Matching Method 1

To find a suitable sticker, you need to know what criteria to use to look for it. This can be done by dividing stickers by different criteria. The first and easiest option for finding stickers is by price. The player can set his budget for buying stickers and choose them from the desired range.

    Sticker Matching Method 2

The second option is to find a sticker by its name or collection. For example, type the name “Cedar Creek” into the search. If the player is interested in a specific collection, you can select the right filter, such as “ESL One Cologne 2014.”

    Sticker Matching Method 3

The third option is to search for stickers by rarity. There are five options in total:

    • Extraordinary. Rare and expensive stickers are often collected.
    • Exotic. These stickers are rare, but there are many more than the first type.
    • Remarkable. Typical stickers, the price of which depends on the idea and design.
    • High Grade. The most common stickers in the game are most often cheap.
    • Contraband. The only sticker is Howling Dawn.

    Sticker Matching Method 4

You can also search for stickers by their style. There are a total of 7 styles in CS2.

    Striker’s styleDescription
    PaperStickers without any effects
GlossyStickers shine as if they are the reflection of metal or glass
GlitterThese stickers shimmer depending on how light falls on them
HolographicThe colors of the sticker change depending on what angle you look at it from
    FoilStickers reflect light like metal
Gold Similar to the previous ones, but in gold color
LenticularIt changes appearance depending on the angle from which you look at the sticker.

You can see what holographic stickers look like by selecting the most expensive stickers below or in our article “Best Holo Stickers in CS2.”

    The Sticker System

    Old sticker system

The CS2 update didn’t just affect gameplay, sound, and more. Changes have also been made to the stickers in the game. If earlier, you could put only four stickers on all weapons, except R8 and G3SG1, as in the first picture, now there are five stickers.

After updating the sticker system, they look better on weapons: they can be scaled, rotated, and placed wherever the player wants. Previously, these actions were only available in certain locations. A sticker was tied to a specific area and could only be labeled directly as it was presented.

With the changes to the sticker system, players have been given complete freedom to be creative. They can now experiment with painting on weapons and crafting excellent art.

    Update on the Sticker System

How to Remove Stickers on Guns in CS2

To remove a sticker or scratch a sticker, follow these instructions:

    • Launch CS2 and go to Inventory.
    • Locate the skin from which you want to remove the stickers.
    • Right-click on the skin.
    • Navigate to the “Scrape off sticker” option.
    • Select the sticker you want to remove from the bottom center of the screen.

Click “Scrape Sticker” and continue until the look of the sticker is satisfactory if you just want to scratch it off. If you wish to remove, such an action will also be prompted.

With each click, the game scratches the sticker a little bit at a time, so keep left-clicking until you have enough.

Note that a pop-up message will appear once you scrape the sticker almost off. This message indicates that the sticker will be removed from the weapon if you click again.

Here, you can select “Remove Sticker.” The sticker will then disappear. You can also click on the “Undo” option if you like the look of the scratched sticker you received.

How to Search for Stickers on Guns CS2

In some situations, you would like to skin a weapon with a specific sticker, but flipping through the list of these weapons is too long and tedious, so the Blix team will tell you how to do it faster.

We’ll still warn you that the process won’t be instant; however, try our instructions to make the search more efficient:

    • First, log into Steam Market
    • Click “Advanced Search Settings.”
    • Select the weapon you want to search for (if any, if not, skip this action)
    • All the listed skins of this weapon will appear on your screen
    • Click on the skin you like
    • This is where it gets tricky and takes time. Once you see the suggestions you want, you can hover your cursor over the said item. It will show you if it has stickers on it.
    • You can also enter “sticker” or for example, “Katowice 2014,” in the “Search” field, check “Search in descriptions” under it, and click on the “Search” button.
    • In the search results, click on the button with the word “Price” and select weapons with stickers.
    • Just as in the first option, to find a specific weapon in “Advanced Search Settings,” select that weapon.

To find a specific sticker, write its name or quality (holographic or metal) in the “Search” field.

Remember to check the box “Search in descriptions.” Without it, the search will not work.

How Much Value do Stickers add CS2

The value of stickers in the Counter-Strike 2 game depends on their rarity, condition, design, and popularity.

    • Rare stickers, especially from old capsules or collections, can significantly raise the price of a cosmetic item.
    • Demand for popular stickers associated with professional players, teams, or events is higher than for standard stickers added to the game in honor of non-esports events.
    • In addition, the price of a sticker is influenced by its style. Typically, foil or holographic stickers are more valuable than paper stickers. Generally, this pattern can be defined as follows – if the sticker is shimmering – its price is higher.

To determine how much the sticker adds to the cost of the skin, you can check the prices of similar skins without stickers on forums or trading sites. You can use the site CS.MONEre, you can see the market prices to understand what value to sell your skin for.

Where to Sell CS2 Skins with Stickers

You can sell sticker skins like you usually would—most websites, such as CS.MONEY offers you this option. In the same way, you can also sell your skins with stickers on Steam Marketplace.

The key is to add the price of the stickers to the price of the skin. Many people agree that no sticker can raise the price of a skin unless it costs at least 10 dollars. With this in mind, you should check the value of your stickers before you put your skin up for sale.

If you know that the cost of your stickers is $10 and you have four of them, you need to add at least $20 to the price of your skin. If your kit has an unusual effect on skin appearance, you can add even more to the cost.

You also need to mention the stickers in the skin’s description. This will help others understand why your skin is much more expensive.

We will also leave a detailed article on selling anything for you: Detailed CS2 Trading Guide 2024 for Beginners & Pros.

    FAQ

How Many Stickers Can You Put on a Gun CS2

You can put up to 5 stickers on each weapon. You can also scale the stickers to your liking, rotate them, and stick them wherever you want. You can put five stickers on the crosshair of your AWP or make a word out of three stickers on the magazine of your AK-47.

Which Stickers are Most Likely to Increase the Value of the Skin?

You need rare stickers, foil stickers, or holo stickers. Also, if you have a Katowice 2014 sticker on your gun, the price will immediately skyrocket. They are considered collectible. A Howling Dawn sticker will increase the price multiples. Also, pay attention to stickers of popular teams or tournaments.

Will the Sticker Return to Inventory after it is Removed?

Once removed, the sticker will not return to your inventory. You cannot use the same sticker to put on another weapon’s skin or sell it on the market. It will permanently disappear.

Why are Katowice 2014 Stickers so Expensive?

There are very few stickers from the Katowice 2014 major. Some of them are measured not just in hundreds but dozens. And that’s for a multi-million CS audience.

Being one of the first of its kind, the tournament naturally gathered a smaller audience. The result is obvious – fewer spectators, fewer purchases, fewer open capsules, and fewer stickers.
