Sashi has revealed the signing of Alexander ‘Altekz’ Givskov and has benched Oliver ‘kwezz’ Rasmussen to accommodate the addition of the 21-year-old.
The announcement follows just a few days after Sashi was knocked out of the Perfect World Shanghai Major Europe RMR B, where the Danish team fought hard to achieve a 2-2 record, ultimately losing to Spirit at the last stage.
Sashi welcomed its newest roster, which included ‘kwezz’, in April 2024 by signing the entire Espionage team. The squad quickly achieved success for its new organization by securing the YaLLa Compass Spring title and achieving several more deep runs in online competitions.
The Danes secured spots in two international LAN events early during their tenure with Sashi, namely YaLLa Compass and the Esports World Cup, but they didn’t achieve significant success aside from winning a map against Astralis in the first event.
Sashi’s initial achievements propelled the organization to a high ranking of No. 27. Still, performance declined after the Esports World Cup, causing the team to fall out of the top 50 shortly before their RMR campaign.
‘Altekz’ comes on board after recently playing for TSM, although he has previous experience with Astralis and Preasy on his resume. The Danish player recorded a noteworthy 1.05 rating with TSM but was placed on the bench in favor of William ‘sirah’ Kjærsgaard after just two months.
The Sashi team is well-acquainted with Altekz, who previously showcased his skills as a rifler during the YaLLa Compass Summer tournament and the FASTCUP CSGORUN Cup held in late September. Unfortunately, both of these campaigns ended in disappointing early exits for the team, highlighting their challenges in those competitive matches.
