AMKAL has declared that their whole Counter-Strike 2 team, along with coach Svyatoslav ‘svyat’ Dovbakh, has been placed on the bench and is open for transfer.
AMKAL, now ranked No. 71 in HLTV’s standings, began their journey in Counter-Strike in early 2024 by acquiring the former 1WIN core, which secured them a place in the Copenhagen Major RMRs.
The team accomplished their objective by qualifying for the Copenhagen Major, but shortly thereafter, they lost their star AWPer Kaisar ‘ICY’ Faiznurov to Cloud9, which led to a decline in their rankings since the squad struggled to adapt with the new players Evgenii ‘topo’ Lopatin and Emil ‘nota’ Moskvitin.
AMKAL participated in one additional LAN tournament for the remainder of the year at the Skyesports Championship 2024, where they made it to the quarter-finals before dropping to the outskirts of the top 100 in the rankings.
