CS2 training isn’t just for professional athletes or beginners. Regular game users also need it to improve their play.

However, there is one disadvantage – Valve didn’t provide a single mode for training, but the makers from the Workshop took care of it. The Blix team has selected five of the best maps that will help you train your aim.

How to Run a Custom CS2 Map From Workshop?

In the past, custom maps took quite a long time to launch, but the launch could have been more convenient. The launch instructions consisted of several points, each of which you had to be extremely careful about.

The creation of the Map Workshop in CS2 has made the situation easier. You need to subscribe to a map in the Workshop, launch CS2, and select the corresponding map in the “Workshop Maps” section (shown in the screenshot above). You can also practice with a friend and learn how to do this in the How to Play 1v1 in CS2 article.

So, our list of the best of the best includes:

    • Recoil Master
    • Yprac Aim Arena
    • GGPredict Training Hub
    • Fast Aim/Reflex Training
    • Aim Botz

    Recoil Master

    Map Recoil Master

Mastering recoil control is essential in CS2, and the Recoil Master map is perfect for this purpose. This map contains guides and visual aids to help you learn the recoil patterns of various weapons. By practicing here, you can develop the muscle memory to control the spray more accurately, giving you a significant advantage in firefights.

Recoil Master offers several customization options, including choosing from 10 weapons, enabling infinite ammo, slowing time for precision training, and customizing other settings to suit your training needs.

We also have a great guide with more in-depth information on aiming: How to Get Better Aim in CS2: Spray Patterns.

    Yprac Aim Arena

    Map Yapic Aim Arena

A multifunctional training ground with a large number of different modes, it will help you learn most mechanics and improve your existing skills.

Whether focusing on switching targets, firing bursts, or honing your long-range accuracy, this map offers customized exercises to suit your training needs.

Many people will prefer this place to study because of its exceptional design and simple interface, which are easy to understand.

    GGPredict Training Hub

    Map GGPredict Training Hub

Unlike other maps on this list, the map provides a polished, playable feel, making it an excellent choice for players who value functionality and style. For those coming from Valorant, this map offers a familiar experience similar to The Range but adapted from Valve’s shooter.

GGPredict Training Hub features leaderboards, giving your training sessions a competitive edge. This leaderboard system encourages players to push their limits and improve their performance. You can also read aiming tips on Reddit.

    Fast Aim/Reflex Training

    Map Fast Aim/ Reflex Training

To shoot well, you need to learn to chase the target and not lose your aim while moving, which is a lot in CS2. This map is necessary for anyone trying to improve their tracking as enemies move around it in different directions.

If you time this map correctly, it will significantly improve your tracking. This map will also improve your reflexes as you rotate in all directions to hit your targets. The area has blocks of varying heights to simulate game world obstacles and high walls. It makes for a decent training environment.

It would help if you also had a handy crosshair, or several, to make it easier to aim and hit. We have several articles that will help with this: “Best CS2 Crosshair: How to Choice?” and “Best CS2 Pro Crosshairs (Codes) 2024.”

    Aim Botz

    Map Aim Botz

Everyone knows about this map – it’s a classic. Some time ago, elliptical created a map that became a standard for warm-up and aims training. The author has already worked on the CS2 version of Aim Botz. We wrote about this map in a separate guide, “How To Play Aim Botz In CS2?“.

What makes Aim Botz stand out is its extensive customization options. Players can customize the number of bots, their movement speed, and the environment to create a training experience tailored to their specific goals. Therefore, this card will be perfect in every way.

Tips How To Improve Aim in CS2

    Use Aiming Training Maps

Aiming practice cards like the above are essential tools to improve your aim.

    Optimize Crosshair Positioning

Proper crosshair positioning is the basis for effective aiming. Always keep the crosshair at head level and aim where you expect enemies to appear. This will reduce the time it takes to adjust your crosshair when enemies appear, giving you a decisive advantage in firefights.

    Practice Movement and Shooting Techniques

Shooting and shooting accurately on the move are vital skills in CS2. To improve your performance, practice techniques such as counter-strafing, where you quickly change direction while shooting to maintain accuracy. This makes you a more challenging target and allows you to make accurate shots.

    Control Recoil

Understanding and controlling recoil is fundamental in CS2. Each weapon has its unique recoil pattern, and you must learn how to prevent it effectively. Use cards like Recoil Master – Spray Training to practice these patterns until they become natural. This will help you maintain accuracy while shooting continuously.

    Warm Up Before Your Matches

Warming up before competitive matches is very important. Spend 15-30 minutes on practice maps or deathmatch servers to sharpen your crosshair and speed up your reflexes. This will help you start the match ready to put your best foot forward.

Analyze And Learn From Your Gameplay

Analyze your gameplay regularly to identify areas for improvement. Watch replays of matches to see where you could have aimed better and note mistakes to avoid in the future. Learning from experience is a powerful way to improve your skills.

    Adjust the Sensitivity Settings

Choosing the proper mouse sensitivity is a personal preference, but it can make a big difference in your aiming. Experiment with different sensitivity settings to see what works best for you. Lower sensitivity usually provides greater accuracy, while higher sensitivity can make quick movements easier. You can read more about it and mice in general in the article Best Mouse For CS2: Market Review.
