Day 4 will feature three quarter-final matches and show us which of these six teams is ready to fight for the BLAST Spring Finals spot.
Day 4 (March 9) Schedule:
- Heroic vs. OG starting at 15:30 CET
- Metizport vs. Monte starting at 18:00 CET
- Spirit vs. BIG starting at 20:30 CET
Heroic vs. OG
BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024: Heroic vs. OG
Both teams won their opening matches. Heroic winning their match wasn’t a surprise but a regular one. While OG surprised us with a win over Complexity,
Heroic didn’t have any player missing, and everyone played well and had positive stats across the two maps they played against NiP. The players and team are in good shape now, but it is hard to give them much credit since it was a game against the new NiP roster.
On the other side, OG and their players have shown us that they’re in good shape and ready to beat teams that are better on paper. They will have to miss the PGL Major, which helps them show better results here since it’s one of the few tournaments left to play for them.
Based on the results, both teams are in good shape now. However, experience and consistency go for Heroic, and they should be hungry to get some wins and confidence before the PGL Major kicks in. Heroic should win this match and proceed to the next stage.
Metizport vs. Monte
BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024: Metizport vs. Monte
Metizport is a young team, as we said earlier when they had to play against the Falcons. Fighting against a much more experienced team, the Falcons, who just got one of the best players in history ‘s1mple’ to their roster, didn’t break a young team, and they ended up winning. Every player is in good form, and their team play also helps them.
Monte met Imperial in their first match, and even playing with two stand-ins didn’t stop them. Their players also seem in good shape, but it’s hard to judge from one match only and against such an opponent.
Metizport is a better choice here since the young, motivated team is in a good mood and motivated to show themselves even more than they already did. Monte’s advantage would be that they have nothing to lose playing with a stand-in, but it sounds more like a random thing. On top of that, any bookmaker odds are better for Metizport, and it is a good choice overall to pick them to win this match.
Spirit vs. BIG
BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024: Spirit vs. BIG
Spirit continues showing us that they’re in top form, ready to fight for anything possible out there, and ‘d0nk’ keeps his way to dominate with his performances.
BIG won their opening match, but it wasn’t something big. So overall, we couldn’t see any changes from them or some upgrades. That was just a regular win against a level team.
Based on that, Spirit was and still is a much stronger team in every aspect of the game, and Spirit should win this match.
We will return with our predictions for BLAST Day 5 soon; stay tuned!
