Alexandre ‘bodyy’ Pianaro has been sidelined from fnatic, as announced by the British organization on Thursday.
The French player had served as the team’s in-game leader for just over a year, having joined in November 2023 to take over from Christopher ‘dexter’ Nong. During his tenure, fnatic’s most notable accomplishment was securing second place at the FiReLEAGUE 2024 Global Finals and qualifying for the Perfect World Shanghai Major.
Even with two roster changes throughout the year and the recruitment of star rifler Benjamin ‘blameF’ Bremer, they still struggled to achieve success at major events. They took part in only three major tournaments in 2024, which featured two seasons of the ESL Pro League where they were invited as partners and the Shanghai Major. They finished within the 21st-28th range on two separate occasions and ended up in last place during the Opening Stage of the Major.
The organization took action by parting ways with coach Jamie ‘keita’ Hall, and in-game leader ‘bodyy’ is now also leaving. Fnatic has not yet revealed their new additions, although ‘cArn’ has suggested that the organization is exploring the lower tiers for potential replacements.
