Shahar ‘flameZ’ Shushan, the talented Israeli player, has reached an agreement with Team Vitality to extend his contract. This extension will see him remain with the organization until the end of 2027, as announced by the team on Friday.
The new contract for the 21-year-old is now probably the longest on the team. Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire, Lotan ‘Spinx’ Giladi, and Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut all have contracts that run until 2026, while the duration of William ‘mezii’ Merriman’s contract is not known.
‘flameZ’ signed with Vitality in mid-2023 after transferring for free from OG and soon became a crucial player for the team. Throughout this period, he has received seven EVP recognitions for his outstanding performances, which include four during their championship victories at Gamers8, BLAST Premier Fall Final, and BLAST Premier World Final in 2023, as well as IEM Cologne earlier this year.
The news about the Israeli’s contract extension was revealed only two days prior to the commencement of Vitality’s journey in the Perfect World Shanghai Major Europe RMR A, where the squad will compete for one of the seven available spots at the Major.
Vitality Announcement
The upcoming Shanghai Major cycle might be the final appearance for the team with its current lineup. This information comes from Sebastien ‘KRL’ Perez, who has indicated that ‘Spinx’ is anticipated to depart from Vitality in 2025, as both parties have shown interest in separating. The French insider was also the initial source to disclose ‘flameZ’s contract extension.
