FURIA has officially converted Mareks ‘YEKINDAR’ Gaļinskis’s loan from Liquid into a permanent deal, the Brazilian organization revealed on Friday. ‘YEKINDAR’ has penned a contract that will last until the conclusion of 2027.
FURIA Announcement
The news follows a productive two-month loan period during which ‘YEKINDAR’ was pivotal in FURIA’s significant performances at PGL Astana and the Austin Major. He achieved an average rating of 1.26 at the Major, showcasing some of his finest Counter-Strike gameplay in recent years.
His impressive conclusion to the season sharply contrasted with the previous year, when he had difficulty finding his form while competing for Liquid. After spending more than two years as a regular starter, ‘YEKINDAR’ was placed on the bench at the end of 2024.
FURIA is set to kick off the new season by traveling to Belgrade for FISSURE Playground 1, which is slated for July 15-20. Later in the month, the team will also participate in IEM Cologne, where they will start their campaign in Stage 1.
