G2 CEO Alban Dechelotte has announced that Ilya ‘m0NESY’ Osipov will be transferred to Falcons because his contract is set to expire at the end of the year.
The Russian star is set to finalize his transfer immediately following PGL Bucharest and will make his debut with the Falcons at IEM Melbourne, scheduled to begin on April 21.
G2 CEO Statement
‘m0NESY’ has been on the radar of Falcons for quite some time and nearly signed during the winter off-season, but the two parties were unable to reach an agreement. With the star player’s contract nearing its expiration in eight months, G2 has opted to take action and prevent losing ‘m0NESY’ for free.
The announcement follows immediately after the Falcons triumphed over ‘m0NESY’s G2 in the PGL Bucharest grand final, where the Russian AWPer stepped in to fill the role of tournament MVP Abdul ‘degster’ Gasanov.

Falcons roster will become as follows:
- Emil ‘Magisk’ Reif
- Nikola ‘NiKo’ Kovač
- Damjan ‘kyxsan’ Stoilkovski
- René ‘TeSeS’ Madsen
- Ilya ‘m0NESY’ Osipov
