MOUZ are headed to the playoff stage of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 after getting a tense 2-1 victory over Falcons in one of the hardest-fought series of Stage 3. The team’s resilience, strong pistol-round conversions, and a standout showing from Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás proved decisive as MOUZ secured their 3-1 record and advanced to the MVM Dome.

MOUZ vs. Falcons: A Series Defined by Momentum Swings

Falcons Flip Mirage on Its Head

MOUZ looked unstoppable at the start of the series on Mirage. They stormed to an 11–4 lead, shutting down Falcons throughout the first half. However, closing the map in their favour became a problem for them. Falcons rallied behind a series of high-impact rounds from Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, chaining eight rounds in a row to steal the map 13–11.
The sudden reversal set the tone – MOUZ had to work for every inch from that moment.
Inferno Brings Stability Back

If Mirage was chaos, Inferno was control. MOUZ tightened up their structure, won both pistols, and dictated the pace from start to finish. Falcons struggled to find space, often stalling before they found their stride. MOUZ closed out the map convincingly with a score of 13-6, restoring balance to the series and putting all pressure on the decider.
Nuke Delivers the Knockout Blow

The final map began with MOUZ at full power. They sprinted to a 7-1 lead, applying suffocating pressure on the T side and punishing every mistake they made. Falcons did mount a mid-game comeback – highlighted by sharp Deagle rounds and momentum-shifting multikills, but MOUZ never faltered in the key moments.
Winning the final pistol round of the map was the turning point. MOUZ leveraged that advantage to cross the finish line 13-10 and secure their playoff berth
torzsi Shines Ahead of Home-Crowd Appearance

With the Major playoffs set in Budapest, all eyes are on torzsi — and he delivered exactly the kind of performance fans hoped for.
The Hungarian AWPer led MOUZ with consistency across all three maps, anchoring their defence, landing key mid-round picks, and stabilising shaky moments when Falcons threatened to steal momentum.
Heading into his home arena, torzsi’s form couldn’t be peaking at a better time.
Falcons Fight Fiercely but Fall Short

Falcons’ loss wasn’t for lack of effort. NiKo produced some of the most impactful rounds of the series, especially during Mirage’s comeback and Nuke’s mid-half surge. But the team struggled with slow starts and couldn’t match MOUZ’s pistol-round efficiency.
Their flashes of brilliance weren’t enough to overcome the structural discipline MOUZ carried through the final two maps.
What’s Next for MOUZ?
The MVM Dome awaits, and MOUZ will have the energy of a roaring Hungarian crowd on their side. Whether that spark can carry them to a deep playoff run remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: this team has the tools, the confidence, and the star power to make noise in Budapest.
