MOUZ has revealed that they have parted ways with in-game leader Kamil ‘siuhy’ Szkaradek from their active roster. In a statement shared on X, the German organization noted “differing visions for the team’s direction” as the rationale for moving forward without the Polish player.
Ludvig ‘Brollan’ Brolin will permanently assume the role of caller, signaling the beginning of a new phase in his career. This situation now puts MOUZ in the position of needing to recruit a powerful rifler to compensate for the possible decline in performance from ‘Brollan’.
The news is quite surprising since ‘siuhy’ has established himself as one of the top in-game leaders in the industry after rejoining MOUZ in July 2023 following a successful period at GamerLegion.
A product of the MOUZ NXT academy, ‘siuhy’ guided MOUZ to three championships (ESL Pro League Seasons 18 and 19 and BetBoom Dacha Belgrade) along with three additional final appearances during his 18-month leadership of the team. The squad concluded the 2024 season with a semi-final appearance at the Shanghai Major, where they were eliminated by the eventual champions, Spirit.
MOUZ kicked off the new season poorly, suffering a defeat against BetBoom in the Round of 32 at BLAST Bounty.
Due to the roster lock, MOUZ is unable to add new players for IEM Katowice and will instead enlist academy player Adrian ‘xelex’ Vincze as their fifth participant in Poland. The 16-year-old has been part of MOUZ NXT since September, and the team is currently down to four players after Oldřich ‘PR’ Nový was transferred to GamerLegion.
