FaZe Clan has confirmed that Håvard “rain” Nygaard will rejoin the lineup for ESL Pro League Season 22, replacing Jakub “jcobbb” Pietruszewski.
His return marks a short-term adjustment for the squad as they look to comply with ESL’s roster rules.
Conflict with ESL’s Roster Rules

The change came right after FaZe forfeited a match against G2 Esports, which was linked to ESL’s player registration policies.
Under ESL League rules, teams must maintain the same roster from the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) July update.
By reinstating rain, FaZe ensures full eligibility to continue participating in the event, avoiding further penalties or disqualifications.
Temporary Move for jcobbb

FaZe clarified that jcobbb will be temporarily benched for ESL Pro League but is expected to return to the active roster afterward — specifically in time for the CS Asia Championships later this season.
While the decision follows administrative reasoning rather than performance issues, it nonetheless pauses jcobbb’s momentum after a promising start with the lineup.
The Updated FaZe Lineup

For ESL Pro League, FaZe will field the following roster:
- Finn “karrigan” Andersen
- Helvijs “broky” Saukants
- Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken
- David “frozen” Čerňanský
- Håvard “rain” Nygaard
This configuration restores much of FaZe’s championship-winning core — a unit that has previously delivered a Major title and an Intel Grand Slam victory.
