The Blix team is happy to introduce you to the most iconic moments in Counter-Strike history that left its mark forever. And, by the mark, we mean more like in-game graffiti. In-game graffiti we will talk about is something Valve added on a different map when some players made an insane moment while playing a Major-level tournament.
Many great players retired from the competitive scene a long time ago, and many newcomers set new records such as ‘donk’, but only a few of the greatest players deserved graffiti so far for the insane play they made. Now we will tell you everything about them.

olofmeister defuse
In the 29th round of the ESL One Cologne 2014 semi-finals, Team Dignitas faced off against Fnatic, where ‘olofmeister’ from Fnatic managed to defuse the bomb planted at Bombsite B, even though the area was engulfed in flames by device’s Molotov. Even though ‘olofmeister’ did not make it through the round, he completed the defuse just moments before succumbing to the fire. Valve introduced lasting graffiti on Hut’s wall, illustrating a winged counter-terrorist holding a set of pliers amidst a sea of flames.
Banana King friberg
‘friberg’ from Ninjas in Pyjamas has gained recognition for his exceptional performances on and near the Banana position on the map Inferno, which has led to him being dubbed “King of Banana.” He had three moments of insane individual performance at the B site of the map against the best teams in the world like, like Fnatic at ESL One Cologne 2024, against Virtus.pro at Copenhagen Games 2024, and against LDLC at MLG X Games Aspen.
When Inferno map was updated in the October 10, 2016 patch, a street sign was added near Sandbags position reading “Via Adamo”, which means “Adam Street” in Italian, a reference to friberg’s first name, Adam.
olofmeister boost
In the second half of the quarter-final match at DreamHack Winter 2014, which featured Team LDLC.com and Fnatic, ‘olofmeister’, along with his Fnatic colleagues, utilized an unprecedented boost that provided exceptional visibility over a large portion of the map from the CT spawn. Even though they were down 3-12 at halftime, the advantage enabled Fnatic to complete the map at 16-13. Due to the subsequent controversy regarding the boost and allegations of cheating, Fnatic chose to forfeit the map, which led to LDLC winning the quarter-final.
Valve placed a sign beside the boost location, warning onlookers in German against climbing over the railings. Additionally, they altered Overpass to render the boost unreachable by shifting the truck at CT Spawn nearer to Bombsite B.
coldzera Flying AWP
In the 25th round of the semi-final at MLG Major Columbus 2016, ‘coldzera’ from Luminosity Gaming caught Team Liquid off guard as they made their way down Apartments toward Bombsite B. Following the first elimination of ‘adreN’, ‘coldzera’ shot his AWP at his opponents while jumping, resulting in the deaths of ‘EliGE’ and ‘s1mple’ with one bullet through a noscope, before finishing off ‘nitr0’ with another noscope.
This performance marked the start of their 10-round winning streak starting from 9-15, pushing the match into overtime and securing a victory over Team Liquid with a final score of 19-15, without giving Liquid a single chance.
Luminosity went on to defeat Team Liquid in the series with a score of 2-0 and ultimately triumphed in the Grand Final.
Valve introduced permanent graffiti on the back wall behind Van, adjacent to coldzera’s position, illustrating a bewinged AWP with four red skulls positioned above it.
s1mple AWP Noscopes
In the 14th round of the ESL One Cologne 2016 semi-finals between Fnatic and Team Liquid, ‘s1mple’ from Team Liquid was left to face two enemies on Bombsite B by himself. ‘s1mple’ descended from Heaven and eliminated ‘dennis’ with a noscope while falling, and soon after, he also took down ‘KRIMZ’ with another noscope. James Bardolph, who was providing commentary on the match, was so impressed by s1mple’s impressive play that he humorously stated the move was almost illegal.
Valve introduced a permanent graffiti artwork on the wall located beneath Heaven position, right behind where ‘s1mple’ had fallen. The image features a Counter-Terrorist with wings, holding a scope-less AWP, with a target reticle centered around his head.
Dosia Smart Play
On Inferno, it is widely recognized that if a player is positioned in the distant corner of Pit position with sufficient health, they can barely survive if the bomb detonates at Bombsite A.
In the 11th round of the grand final of PGL Kraków 2017, Gambit Esports faced Immortals, and ‘Dosia’ from Gambit was unable to secure the round as the bomb planted by Immortals on Bombsite A was about to detonate. Nevertheless, he was aware that ‘steel’ and ‘LUCAS1’ from Immortals were positioned in the distant corner of the Pit position. Keeping the aforementioned strategy in mind, ‘Dosia’ launched a grenade into the pit, inflicting more than 50 damage to both adversaries, resulting in their deaths from the explosion and causing them to forfeit their weapons, which created a significant setback for Immortals’ economy. Dosia’s performance in the play was so sophisticated that ‘Sadokist’, who was commentating on the match, struggled to convey the strategy to the audience due to his enthusiasm.
Valve placed a poster on the brick building next to the corner, resembling a parody advertisement for a fragrance contained in a grenade-shaped bottle, coupled with a motto in Italian that translates to “No, you cannot escape now.”
Summary
Many of the graffiti pieces we discussed earlier resulted from extraordinary performances by some of the world’s top players at various times. With current stars like ‘ZywOo’, ‘NiKo’, ‘ropz’, ‘donk’, ‘m0NESY’, and other emerging talents continuously honing their skills and astonishing everyone with their record-breaking performances, let’s remain hopeful that we will see plays at the future Major-tournaments from others worthy of yet another graffiti.
