Passion UA has revealed that they are adding Oleksii ‘Topa’ Topchiienko to their team.
The new player will take over as the in-game leader of the squad, stepping in for Rodion ‘fear’ Smyk following the announcement that the passionate former captain is departing the team to pursue opportunities at a higher level.
‘Topa’ has been active in the lower divisions since 2018. He began his career as part of two academy teams, Windigo Academy and NAVI Junior, and then moved between various teams during 2021-2022, with a notable participation in the IEM Rio 2022 RMR while playing for FANTASY.
The 25-year-old recently played for IKLA alongside players such as Michał ‘MICHU’ Müller and Jonas ‘Lekr0’ Olofsson. His one-year stint there concluded at the start of 2024 when the organization shut down, and he has faced difficulties in securing a new team since then.
He has now joined Passion UA as part of a restructuring of the team. They are still looking for the final element after Vsevolod ‘s-chilla’ Shchurov opted to step away from competition, mentioning the challenging schedule the team kept up with over the year.
