CD Projekt RED has unveiled a new game based on the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. This is not a sequel or DLC but an arcade machine shooter.
Cyberpunk 2077 Rebirth will be completely different from what you might have imagined. CD Projekt Red spent a lot of time fixing and improving the original release, and then the Phantom Liberty DLC hit us all. Cyberpunk 2077 Legacy isn’t a sequel or DLC. It’s an arcade shooter for arcades. Here’s the news about it from Twitter:
Cyberpunk 2077 expands to arcades thanks to Lai Games taking over development duties from CD Projekt Red in this new franchise iteration.
CDPR lead quest designer Pavel Sasko noted that it’s a full arcade shooter with a story mode, co-op, competitive matches, and sniper missions.

The project uses the Blast Shooting Effect, a patented system with colored explosions and tactile feedback. Players will interact with physical targets using classic weapons from the Cyberpunk universe.
Players can loot and survive in a world of corruption in story mode, and progress can be saved on physical maps. However, there are no details yet on how much players will pay for the game, but we’ll warn you right off the bat – it won’t be cheap.
The new game will not be released on PCs and consoles, as it was created specifically for arcades. There is no information yet whether Turf Wars will appear outside the US, but we will wait for more details.
