Tundra Esports joins the list of Dota 2 teams that decided to make roster changes by adding Matthew “Ari” Walker to the club. The 22-year-old UK star did not win any big events with his former teams, so he’ll try to do that with Tundra.
Tundra Esports Adds Ari
Ari is among the few professional UK Dota 2 players who made it to the big stage. He started his career in 2022 and played for several big teams over the years, such as TSM, OG and Natus Vincere. In fact, he was on a loan with Na’Vi for four months, but the team decided to part ways with him.
Around 2 months after leaving Natus Vincere, Ari will join forces with Tundra Esports. The latter has had a solid year after winning three big tournaments, but it failed to impress us at The International 2025. Many people expected Tundra to be among the favorites, but it made several mistakes that led to an early elimination.
The decision to add Ari to the roster comes just a few days after Tundra benched Crystallis and Saksa. Since Ari is a support player, he will fill in Saksa’s shoes. This means that Tundra will also announce a new carry player soon because the first big Dota 2 event is just a few weeks away.
When can we see Ari in Action?
We do not have any information about Tundra’s upcoming matches, but we believe the team will play at DreamLeague Season 27. This will be the first big Dota 2 event after TI14, and it will take place on October 12.
Before that, however, we will have to wait and see who will fill in Crystallis’s slot. Several top-tier carry players were rumored to join the Western European powerhouse, so let’s see what’s going to happen.
