Following the disappointing result for Tundra Esports at The International 2025, the team decided to make some changes. As a result, Martin “Saksa” Sazdov and Remco “Crystallis” Arets have been moved to the inactive roster.
Saksa and Crystallis Are in Tundra’s Inactive Rosters
We expected to see roster changes at Tundra Esports after the disappointing results at TI14, but did not expect it to happen that quickly. As many people predicted, Remco “Crystallis” Arets was the first one to be benched, which means that Tundra Esports will be looking for a new carry player.
Crystallis joined the team in March of 2025 as he stepped in after Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko left for Aurora Gaming. Some Dota 2 fans questioned Tundra’s decision, but Crystallis has helped the team win the BLAST Slam III. Interestingly, he joined the team just a few days after it finished 2nd at the PGL Wallachia Season 3
While people were not surprised that the Dutch player was benched, the same can’t be said about Saksa. He became a part of Tundra Esports in 2022 and spent more than 3 and a half years with the team. Needless to say, Saksa had a key role in all of Tundra’s success over the years, such as the TI crown in 2022, the FISSURE PLAYGROUND 1 victory and more.
Tundra Esports Roster Changes – Who Will Step In?
We do not have any information about the players who will step in to replace Saksa and Crystallis. Tundra must find someone fairly quickly because the new Dota 2 season will begin shortly.
The two players who were benched are expected to find new teams soon. Both have been around for many years and won countless tournaments, but we think they still have a lot to offer.
