Not all heroes have an Arcana, but those who do are fortunate and usually more popular. In case you don’t know, the Dota 2 Arcana is the rarest item level you can get in the game. It starts with Common and ends with Arcana, so it’s not surprising that the latter is among the most expensive items in the game.

Arcanas transforms from each hero and makes it unique by adding new animations and effects. It’s interesting to see the full Dota 2 Arcanas 2024 list, so let’s start by covering each option based on the date it was added to the game.

Fiery Soul of the Slayer

When discussing the Dota 2 Arcanas list, we have to start with the first item added to the game – Fiery Soul of the Slayer. Lina’s Arcana became available on March 7, 2013, and it quickly became among the most popular items.

Players who decide to get it notice that Lina will have a new portrait, a character icon, and a minimap icon. There are also changes to Dragon Slave and Fiery Soul. 

People interested in getting this Dota 2 Arcana will have to buy it from the store or wait until there’s a special event where it can drop.

Blades of Voth Domosh

The next Dota 2 Arcana that Valve decided to add to the game was Blades of the Both Domosh, which is for Legion Commander. Added on December 12, 2013, this was a great Christmas present for LC fans.

Like all Arcanas in Dota 2, this changes LC’s character icons in the game. The Arcana also gave the hero new lines and changed Duel’s icon and animation. 

Those interested in purchasing this item will need to spend around $20.96 for the standard version. What’s interesting is that the rare variations are also not that expensive (the Auspicious Blade of Voth Domosh starts at around $29.04). Aside from purchasing it, you may also get it from random drops from different Dota 2 events. 

Fractal Horns of Inner Abysm

If you check the Dota 2 Arcana tier list, you will often find Terrorblade’s Fractal Horns of Inner Abysm there. The item became available on Feb 6, 2014, and it quickly became one of the most popular options. 

The reason why so many people like it is because it changes the hero’s model, appearance, and animations. You can even change the glow color by using different types of gems, some of which are expensive.

Like other similar items, this one also changes the character icons. Terrorblade also has new lines and icons for Reflection, Conjure Image, Metamorphosis, and Sunder.

If you wish to buy the item, you must spend close to $23.42 for the regular version. Like the previous ones, you can also get it from a random drop when available.

Swine of the Sunken Galley Bundle

This item was among the most discussed in the Dota 2 Arcanas Reddit because Swine of the Sunken Galley is Bundle is for Techies. The option became available on September 4, 2014, and it quickly became a huge hit.

This Arcana is different from the rest so far because it comes as a bundle that includes several items. Moreover, Techies get new character items, icons for remote mines, and a new Minefield Sign.

Manifold Paradox 

Phantom Assassin has always been one of Dota 2’s most popular heroes, so it’s no surprise she got her own Arcana. Following the Arcana Vote, the Manifold Paradox became available on November 20, 2014. This item changes the hero’s visual components, animation, ability icons, and character icons. There are also new sound effects for PA’s ultimate, a new emoticon, and a gravestone that is shaped like a sword.

What’s also different about this Dota 2 Arcana vote winner is that it has several styles. To unlock the second one, players must complete 40 games with the hero, whereas the third one requires 100 games.

If you want to get this item, be ready to spend around $19.36 and around $25+ for some of the more interesting items. You can also get the item from a random drop.

Frost Avalanche

This is one of the Dota 2 Arcanas 2024 that many people love. Added on December 12, 2015, Frost Avalanche makes Crystal Maiden even more interesting than she already is. The Arcana changes the hero’s icons in the game, adds a new ability icon for her ultimate, a new sound effect and voice lines. On top of that, Crystal Maiden also gets a new Aurora Pet and a Wolf Pup of Icewrack emoticon. 

Interestingly, players can change the Arcana’s style and remove the pet if they want to. Dota 2 CM fans can also unlock a 3rd and fourth Arcana styles by destroying a specific number of wards.

If you want to obtain this Arcana, you must either wait for an event where it can drop or buy it for $13.76. Considering the Dota 2 Arcana price, it is one of the most affordable options.

Tempest Helm of the Thundergod Bundle

The Arcana vote 2015 winner went is Tempest Helm of the Thundergod Bundle and it makes Zeus look really impressive. This bundle contains a couple of items, and it changes the hero’s model, animation, character icon, and ability icons. Zeus also has a new voice line. 

A quick look at the Steam Community Market shows that the Dota 2 Arcana starts at around $27.38. Those who do not want to spend that much money will have to wait until there’s an event.

Great Sage’s Reckoning

The next Dota 2 Arcana that is worth checking belongs to Monkey King. It was added on December 12, 2016, and it quickly became a huge success.

When used, Monkey King will get new character icons, voice lines, and emoji. The hero’s Tree Dance and Primal Spring will also have new icons. 

In terms of styles, Great Sage’s Reckoning has 4 of them, and they change while playing, depending on Wukong’s Command level.

Those who want to get the Monkey King’s Arcana have to spend $18.76 to get it and a little bit more for the more exotic variations. Alternatively, it is possible to get it from a random drop.

Bladeform Legacy

This is one of the most interesting options on the Dota 2 Arcana market and the 2016 Arcana vote winner. Released on March 15, 2017, this Arcana changes Juggernaut’s hero model and animations. He also has two separate hero icons (depending on the style), as well as new icons for his abilities.

Bladeform Legacy also provides a new emoticon and voice lines. Once you get 10 kills with Omnislash, you can unlock the second style of the Arcana. 

Bladeform Legacy starts at around $22.20, and it can be slightly higher for some of the more expensive options. If you decide not to purchase it, you will need to wait for an event where it can drop.

Benevolent Companion 

This is a unique Dota 2 Arcanas because you can’t purchase it, and it does top drop anywhere. IO’s Arcana became available on May 18, 2017 following the Arcana Vote 2016 victory, and it’s among the most exclusive options.

The Arcana adds new icons for IO’s abilities, as well as new sound effects and a hero icon. The only way for people to obtain this item was to reach level 245 in the Battle Pass for The International 2017.

Feast of Abscession

Speaking of Rubick, he is the next name on the list when it comes down to Arcana in Dota 2. This item was released on December 19, 2018 and it became a reality after Rubick won the Arcana vote in the same year.

The Magus Cypher changes Rubick’s ability and character icons, and it grants an emoji. Moreover, once he steals an ability, its effect will also change.

If you are interested in buying this Arcana, you must have around $22.34 for the regular version and slightly more for the rest. This is also one of the Arcanas that can drop from different Dota 2 events.

Planetfall

Similar to IO’s Arcana, Planetfall is another in-game item that people can’t purchase and won’t be able to get from a random drop. Instead, Earthshaker’s item was only available to players whose Battle Pass had a certain level (365). It was added to the game on May 24, 2019.

Planetfall is a Dota 2 Arcana that changes Earthshaker’s character and ability icons. Moreover, it adds a new sound effect and hero lines, as well as a new Blink Dagger item icon. 

Flockheart’s Gamble

Ogre is probably not the most loved hero in the game, but Flockheart’s Gamble is among the most interesting Arcanas. Added on December 18, 2019, this item allows Ogre to have new character and ability icons, as well as a new item icon for Hands of Midas. Of course, Ogre also has new voice lines.

If you want to get your hands on Flockheart’s Gamble, you should be ready to spend $25.94 or even more than that for the other versions. The good news is that you may also be able to get the Arcana via a random drop.

The One True King Bundle

Released on May 25, 2020, the One True King Bundle makes Wraith King look very impressive. This is one of the Dota 2 Arcanas that you can’t get from anywhere else for now. It was available to Battle Pass owners who reached level 375.

Since this is a bundle, it contains different items. Players who get it will have access to two different ability and character icons, as well as new lines. Furthermore, the item will give the Arcana two new styles. Players can unlock the second one by making 100 hero kills.

The Eminence of Ristful

Another Arcana that became available in 2022 (June 11)  is the Eminence of Ristul, which is for Queen of Pain. This is another bundle that contains a lot of items that changes the visual appearance of the hero.

Queen of Pain players will have access to two character icons and will have new ability icons as well. There will also be new voice lines, and the Arcana will come in two styles. To unlock the second one, players have to hit 1000 heroes with Sonic Wave.

This Arcana was only available to players whose TI 10 Battle Pass level reached 445.

Compass of the Rising Gale

Windranger has always been one of the most popular Dota 2 heroes, so it’s no surprise she has an Arcana. Compass of the Rising Gale became available on September 4, 2020, and it also came as a set with a couple of items.

Like other Arcanas, this one changes the character and ability icons, adds a new voice line, and even changes Force Staff and Eul’s Scepter of Divinity’s icons. The Arcana also has two styles, and the second one requires players to do 2,500,000 damage with Focus Fire. 

Once again, players can’t purchase this Arcana because it is only available to TI 10 Battle Pass owners who reached level 575.

Phantom Advent

The subsequent Dota 2 Arcana that deserves attention belongs to Spectre, and it’s called the Phantom Advent. This set became available on June 24, 2021, and it changes the portrait of the hero and her abilities, as well as the icons of Radiance and Blade Mail. Of course, the Arcana also adds new voice lines and comes with two styles. Speaking of styles, the only way to unlock the second one is to get 100 mega kills.

Sadly, you won’t be able to get one of the best-looking Dota 2 items because it was only available to Battle Pass trials related to Diretide 2021. People had to reach level 330 to get it. 

Dread Retribution Bundle

The Dota 2 Arcana for Drow Ranger became available on Dec 15, 2021, and it is also a set that contains several items. It has two styles, and changes the icons of characters, abilities and a few items – Daedalus, Satanic and Hurricane Pike. 

People wishing to get the 2nd style of the Arcana have to get 100 revenge points. This is possible by killing the character that killed you before that.

Dread Retribution Bundle can’t be purchased because it was available to people who completed the Aganim’s Labyrinth 2021 and reached level 333.

Claszian Apostasy

The second-last Dota 2 Arcana you can get right now is called Claszian Apostasy, which is for Faceless Void. Released on Sep 1, 2022, the Arcana comes with a set of items, and it changes the hero’s ability and character icons. The same applies to a few items, such as Mask of Madness, Maelstorm, and Mjollnir.

Like the previous two options, this arcana also has two styles. To unlock the second one, you have to get 250 points, which happens when a hero dies inside the Chronosphere. The only trick is that Void can earn up to 6 points per game.

Players can’t purchase this item because it was only available to TI 2022 Battle Pass owners whose level was at least 495.

Voidstorm Asylum

The last of the Dota 2 Arcanas 2024 that we have access to as of now is for Razor and it is called Voidstorm Asylum. Released on Nov 18, 2022, this is another set that includes several items. It is also not available to players who want to purchase it because only those whose TI 2022 Battle Pass level reached 383 have access to it.

Razor’s Arcana changes the hero’s ability and character icon. It also changes the icons of Phase Boots, Eul’s Scepter of Divinity, and Wind Waker. Like the previous Arcanas, this one comes with two styles, and the second one is only available after making 500 kills with 100+ damage stolen using Static Link.
