    DL S4 Overview

DreamLeague is among the most popular tournament series that ESL Gaming organizes. The 24th season of the prestigious Dota 2 competition will take place Online on the EU West servers.

Starting on October 27, participants will need to go through hell before reaching the Grand Final on November 11. On the topic of teams, there will be 16 of them, and they will play on the Dota 7.37d patch

DreamLeague Season 2024 Format & Prize Pool

The most important aspect of the Dota 2 DreamLeague Season 2024 is that it will have a total of 16 teams. We will take a look at them in just a bit, but the intriguing part is that 4 of them are new to the event.

Back to the format, the competition will have two separate groups. The first one will take place between October 27-30 and will consist of two round-robin groups that will have 8 teams each. The four highest-ranked teams in each group will qualify for the subsequent stage.

In Group Stage 2, we will see one big group of 8 teams. The matches here will be in a Bo3 format (unlike in Group Stage 1, where they are Bo2). The best two teams move up to the upper bracket, while the next two teams go down to the lower bracket.

Once it is time for the DreamLeague Season 2024 playoffs, there will be a double-elimination bracket. All games are in Bo3 format, with the exception of the Grand Final, which is in Bo5.

Dota 2 DreamLeague Season 24 Prize Pool

When it comes down to the prize pool, Dream League Season 2024’s reward is $1,000,000. Furthermore, teams will split a total of 14,6000 ETP points. Here’s how it works:

    • 1st Place – $300,000

    • 3rd Place – $120,000
    • 4th Place – $85,000

    • 9th–10th Place – $25,000
    • 11th–12th Place – $20,000

As mentioned, DL S24 will have 16 teams. Six were invited to the competition, whereas the rest needed to take part in qualifiers. Some regions, such as WEU, EEU, and SA, received two slots, whereas MENSWA, China, SEA, and NA got one slot.

    Group A – Overview & Favorites

The first group at DreamLeague Season 24 looks like this:

    • AVULUS
    • BetBoom Team
    • Gaimin Gladiators
    • Nigma Galaxy
    • Nouns Esports
    • PARIVISION
    • Team Liquid
    • Xtreme Gaming

As you can see, the first group in DreamLeague Season 2024 has a lot of prominent names. If we have to point out the favorites, however, there’s no arguing that a few of them stand out, such as Team Liquid.

The winners of this year’s TI will be among the main squads to keep an eye on while watching this tournament. No one can deny that the team is in excellent shape, and it will try to end 2024 with a victory.

The next big favorite is also from Western Europe, and it is Gaimin Gladiators. After winning the Riyadh Masters 2024 and finishing second at The International 2024, GG will be looking to secure another important victory.

Lastly, we have Xtreme Gaming, the Chinese powerhouse. Although not on the same level as the big WEU giants, XG has what’s needed to defeat the best in the world.

    Group B – Overview & Favorites

In terms of the second group, DreamLeague Season 2024 will give us access to the following names:

    • Azure Ray
    • Talon Esports
    • Team Waska
    • Palianytsia
    • Tundra Esports
    • Team Spirit
    • HEROIC
    • Team Falcons

Even if you haven’t been following the Dota 2 professional scene lately, you know that Team Falcons are on another level. Considering this is among the best Dota 2 teams in the world, we expect it to dominate in Group B.

Tundra Esports is the second big name in Group B that players need to be aware of. Despite the somewhat shaky results in 2024, Tundra finished 3rd at The International 2024, so the squad definitely has what’s required in order to win here.

Lastly, we have Team Spirit, one of the most consistent Dota 2 teams in the last few years. 2024 has been relatively good for the Eastern European powerhouse, meaning it has what’s needed to defeat its opponents.
