The Esports World Cup 2025 ended a few days ago. After an epic battle, Team Spirit lifted the trophy and won one of the most important events of the year. All eyes are set on the upcoming Clavision DOTA2 Masters 2025: Snow-Ruyi, but before it begins, it’s time for our Dota 2 EWC 2025 meta analysis. We will go over some of the key stats you need to know and see how they can affect The International.
Contents
Most Picked Heroes
Starting with the most popular heroes at the Esports World Cup 2025, the first place goes to Shadow Shaman. One of Dota 2’s best supports appeared in 39 matches, significantly more than the number 2 option on the list, which is Puck.
The midder had the chance to play in 32 games, but the interesting fact is that his win rate was very low. Unlike Shadow Shaman, who secured over 51%, Puck only got a 40% win rate.
Number 3 on the list is shared between Tusk and Queen of Pain. Both appeared in 26 games, but Tusk had slightly better stats at almost 54% win rate compared to the 50% win rate of QoP.
Most Banned Heroes
When it comes to the most banned heroes at the Esports World Cup 2025 Dota 2, Naga Siren leads the chart. She got banned in 80 games, putting her way above second place on our list.
Speaking of the devil, the second place goes to Batrider with 67 bans. He has proved to be an excellent lane counter to many of the top-tier Dota 2 heroes in the current meta.
Finally, we have Doom. He is definitely not a hero you want to mess around with, which resulted in 50 bans at the EWC 2025. Interestingly, he got just one ban more than Templar Assassin, the go-to ban in the last couple of events.
The Heroes With the Highest win Rate
Excluding the Dota 2 heroes at the EWC 2025 with less than 10 games, we can see that Nature’s Prophet became the most successful Dota 2 hero in terms of win rate. He appeared in 24 games and got a jaw-dropping win rate of 75%.
The second name of the heroes with the highest win rate goes to Chen. He has a 72% win rate out of 11 games, placing him among the best-performing heroes in the tournament.
Lastly, we have Batrider with his 70% win rate out of 20 games. Considering he also became one of the most banned options, it’s no surprise that he is incredibly strong in the current meta.
The Heroes With the Lowest win Rate

Moving on to the least successful Dota 2 heroes at the EWC 2025 with more than 10 games, Bristleback leads the chart. The hero played in 10 games and only secured a 30% win rate. A lot of people will be surprised by these stats, considering the fact that Bristile was a solid pick in the last couple of events.
Warlock is 2nd on the list with a 31% win rate out of 20 games. Even though the support is strong in the later stages of the game, he is just not that good overall, especially compared to Shadow Shaman and other options.
Lastly, we have Dark Seer, the offlaner with a 35% win rate out of 17 games.
Heroes That we did not see in Actron
Even though the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2025 offered us many options, to our surprise, many heroes were not seen in action. For example, many people expected teams to go for picks like Legion Commander, IO, and Wraith King. However, it seems like these heroes are no longer in the meta, and professional players decided to focus on something else.
What to Expect for The International 2025
TI 2025 is less than two months away, so there is a good chance Valve will release a new patch before that. If that does not happen, however, we can expect to have more or less the same meta as in EWC 2025. Valve rarely releases ground-breaking patches before a big event such as TI, but it will be intriguing to see what happens.
