Unfortunately, Team Spirit won’t be able to rely on Denis “Larl’ Sigitov for the upcoming tournament. According to the organization, Larl will miss the FISSURE Universe Episode 6 because of a surgery complication. Here’s what you need to know.
Team Spirit Won’t be Able to Rely on Larl for FISSURE Universe Episode 6
Sadly, the legendary Dota 2 player won’t be able to help his team in the upcoming tournament. He had to undergo a surgery that resulted in further complications, but according to Team Spirit, everything is fine. Sadly, his condition does not allow him to take part in the event, so the team will need to rely on a standin for the $250K competition.
This is a major blow for Team Spirit because the team had excellent momentum before The International 2025. In case you don’t remember, the squad dominated at the Esports World Cup and proved they are among the best in the world right now.
What’s more troubling is that The International 2025 will begin just a few weeks from now. Considering what’s happening with Larl, we would not be surprised if he misses out on this year’s competition. Team Spirit addressed this by saying that they hope Larl will manage to recover in time for the big event.
Who Will Replace Larl?
Since Team Spirit won’t be able to rely on their midder for FISSURE Universe Episode 6, the squad will use Marat “Mirele” Gazetdinov. The latter plays for Yellow Submarine and will be subbing Larl for the competition.
Most of you may not have heard of Mirele yet, but he is a talented Dota 2 player. Unfortunately, he lacks the experience of others, so it will be very interesting to see if he can perform well on the big stage. This could well be his breakout tournament, so people will focus on the young mid-laner.
Remember to follow us for more information. FISSURE Universe Episode 6 starts tomorrow, and it will welcome some of the best teams in Europe.
