What Happened at the Semifinals
The Esports World Cup 2025 Dota 2 semifinals definitely deserved attention. The first match was Team Spirit vs. PARIVISION, a classic EEU battle. It was one of those matches where everything was possible, but in the end, TS won.
Although the two games were challenging for Yatoro and the rest, Team Spirit was definitely better than their opponents. The squad proved it was more motivated and advanced to the Grand Final.
Moving on to the second semifinals, Tundra Esports had to face Team Falcons. The latter exceeded expectations, and fans were eager to see if they could continue dominating. Surprisingly, the team did just that and defeated Tundra Esports.
The first game was not that interesting, but the second match was truly epic. We had 80 minutes of non-stop action, and in the end, Falcons were above the rest. The team won against its WEU counterparts and moved on to the Grand Final.
PARIVISION vs Tundra Esports – Third Place Match
After PARIVISION and Tundra Esports lost their matches, it was time for the clash between the two. We expected to see an epic clash, but to be honest, the series was way more one-sided than we thought.
PARIVISION was miles ahead of its opponents in both games, especially the second one. The EEU team needed just 34 minutes to win and secure third place at the Esports World Cup 2025. This victory also resulted in $300,000.
Grand Final – Team Spirit vs Team Falcons
Considering Falcons’s performance, we expected an epic battle for the Dota 2 EWC 2025 Grand Final. Sadly, this was not the case because Team Spirit completely ripped through their opponents in a quick 3:0.
Team Spirit were on another level in each of the 3 matches and did not give their opponents any chances of succeeding. The squad secured an easy landing stage and did not make any big mistakes that would give their opponents an advantage.
Game three was probably TS’s most dominant map at the event. The squad sensed the “blood” and used the classic Shadow Fiend carry for Yatoro. He, alongside Larl’s MK absolutely demolished their opponents and secured the team the trophy.
It seems like this is definitely the Spirit’s meta because the squad only lost one map in the entire event.
Following the end of the EWC 2025, Team Spirit won $1,000,000, whereas Team Falcons ended with $500,000. Now that the event is over, Dota 2 fans will have a few weeks to relax, and it’s time for yet another epic event. Don’t forget to follow us for more details.
