The International 2025 will be one of the highlights of the year for all Dota 2 fans. We have already reported The International 2025 direct invites, but now it’s time to step back and check the TI qualifiers.
Speaking of qualifiers, we have already seen the Open Quals in each region. This means that the best teams will go head-to-head in the Closed Qualifiers to determine which will advance to the big event. There’s much to discuss, so we will divide this series into two articles. The first will focus on Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and South America.
Western Europe
Since this is Dota 2’s strongest region, it’s no surprise that The International 2025 WEU qualifiers are exciting. We had to wait a few days to see which teams would make it through the Open Qualifiers. Now that they are over, here are all of the names you should be aware of:
- Nigma Galaxy
- MOUZ
- OG
- AVULUS
- 1win Team
- Yellow Submarine
- Virtus.Pro
- Team Secret
- 4Pirates
- NAVI Junior
Unlike the other two regions on the list, the matches in WEU have not started yet. They will begin on June 13, and once they are over, we will have two teams that will advance to TI 2025.
In terms of favorites, we can definitely say that Nigma Galaxy and MOUZ are the two names that stand out. Both have excellent players and will do everything they can to join those who received direct invitations.
Eastern Europe
Unlike WEU, Eastern Europe will only have 1 slot for The International 2025. Also, unlike the other region, the matches here started a couple of days ago, and we can already see that some of the teams are in an excellent position to win. On the topic of teams, EEU will have the following names:
- One Move
- Nemiga Gaming
- Aurora Gaming
- L1GA TEAM
- Natus Vincere
- Runa Team
- eSpiled
- Quantum
- Cyber Goose
- Runa Team
At the time of writing, some of the Dota 2 teams are no longer in the tournament. Kalmychata and eSpiled were the first to be eliminated, but we will have even more names in the next couple of days.
Judging from these teams’ results so fart, we can clearly see that Aurora Gaming, L1GA TEAM and Natus Vincere will be the big favorites. If we take into account all of these teams’ results, however, we can see that Aurora is on another level. We have yet to see if the team will meet the expectations.
South America
South America is the last region we wish to cover in this Dota 2 The International 2025 qualifier review. This may be the least interesting region out of the three here, but it has a few big teams that deserve more attention:
- HEROIC
- OG.LATAM
- Edge
- Sustancia X
- TeamDk
- Veritas Brothers
- AllStars
- Infamous
- Team Sin Compromiso
- Team Den
No one can deny that HEROIC and OG.LATAM are the two big favorites from South America. The two have already defeated one opponent, and by the looks of it, they will meet in the Upper Bracket Final.
Infamous Gaming is also one of the squads that is usually a favorite, but it will have a very hard time here. It already lost the match against HEROIC, which means it is in the lower bracket.
Closing Thoughts
We can’t wait to see all of the teams that will attend The International 2025. This was part 1 of our Closed Qualifiers overview, so stay tuned for part 2, where we will cover SEA, NA and China. Also, don’t forget to follow Blix.gg for more details.
