Whether we like it or not, the North American Dota 2 scene is not in a good state. TSMâs most recent decision to drop its Dota 2 roster was another slap to the face after Shopify Rebellion did the same a few months prior. Having said that, it seems like there are some signs of hope (at least for now) because Tundra Esports, the WEU Dota 2 giant, has decided to acquire TSMâs Dota 2 roster.
Following Tundraâs inability to defend The International trophy, the organization elected to drop its current roster. We expected the likes of Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen and a few other players from Western Europe to fill in the gap, but this did not happen. Instead, Tundra Esports have decided to acquire TSMâs old Dota 2 roster, who were briefly playing under the Team Undying banner.
While Tundra is currently playing under in North America , rumors have it that the squad will move to Western Europe. This will be a huge hit for the North American scene, and it could be the last nail in the coffin because there are literally no tier one organizations left.
Tundraâs current roster is now:

- Jonathan Bryle “Bryle” De Guia
- Ilyas “kasane” Gainullin
- Aleksandr “Immersion” Khmelevskoi
- Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon
TSM used to have one of the best rosters in North America, but as we all know, Western Europe is in a league of its own. Thatâs why fans are eager to see if Tundra Esports will achieve good results when playing against some of the best in the world.
Whatâs happening with Tospon?
Now that Tundra has TSMâs previous roster, Topson is no longer a part of the organization. This means that he no longer has a team and is open to new offers. The bad news for Topson is that a lot of the big names already have their rosters locked in place, so finding a new team wonât be easy, even for a two-time TI champion.
