Valve has released a global patch for Dota 2 that impacts gameplay. Two new mechanics have been added:
- Innate Abilities
- Facets
Each Hero’s Innate abilities are unique and present from the start of the game. Some provide unique effects, while others enhance existing spells, making them available from the beginning of the game.
Facets allow players to customize the Hero to suit their play style or adapt to a specific situation. Every Hero has at least two Facets. You can change them before the game starts or during the planning phase.
Below, the Blix team has selected new and interesting Facets for each position.

Phantom Assassin ‘ Methodical Facet. This facet increases damage from critical attacks by an additional 100% (550% at max level) and grants the ability to gain critical hits, similar to Monkey King’s Jingu Mastery ability.

Faceless Void
Faceless Void – Time Zone Facet. Void gets the new Time Zone ability instead of Chronosphere.
Void Time Zone Facet
The Time Zone ability impacts movement speed, projectile speed, and ability cast speed. It significantly slows down enemies in range while speeding up allies.
Midlaner (Position 2)

Windranger
Windranger now possesses a potent Whirlwind Facet, which transforms Focus Fire into a nondirectional ability that allows random attacks on all targets within the radius.
Death Prophet

Death Prophet Spirit Collector Facet
Death Prophet now has the Spirit Collector Facet. It allows you to summon the spirits of slain enemies using Exorcism.
Offlaner (Position 3)
Timbersaw
Timbersaw Chakram Facet
Timbersaw’s Twister Chakram Facet allows you to gain the new Twisted Chakram ability right after you learn your Ultimate spell (at the 6th level).
Magnus
Magnus
Magnus Reverse Polarity Facet
Magnus has received the Reverse Polarity Facet. His Ultimate ability now works differently. It pushes aside all nearby enemy heroes.
Support (Position 4)
Techies
Techies get three new Facets at once.
Techies Squee’s Scope
Squee’s Scope increases Techies’ attack range with each unit of attack speed.
Techies Squee’s Scope
Another Facet of his Spoon’s Stash allows you to use a Backpack equal to an Inventory.

Shadow Shaman
Shadow Shaman Facet
Shadow Shaman now has a Facet that allows you to summon only one Snake with Ultimate but with immense survivability and damage.
Hard Support (Position 5)
Warlock
Warlock Facet
The Warlock has received the Champion of Gorroth Facet, which allows the Golem to deal increased fire damage based on the Warlock’s health and mana regeneration.
Warlock’s Golem Size
The size of the Golem increases as well.
Venomancer
Venomancer Plague Carrier Facet
The Plague Carrier Facet allows Venomancer to put Plague Ward directly on allied heroes.
