G2 Esports announced the addition of Alexander “Jawgemo” Mor as the final member of their roster for the 2025 season. The championship player is expected to take over Jacob “Icy” Lange’s position and will play as a duelist for the team.
Jawgemo’s Next Valorant Chapter
Jawgemo’s time with Evil Geniuses was nothing short of spectacular. His shining moment was when he helped EG make the top two at Masters Tokyo and secured a big victory when he and the rest of EG managed to win Champions Los Angeles. This win marked Evil Geniuses’ first international title and the first world championship for any North American team in VALORANT history. Jawgemo played a crucial role in EG’s success, recording a remarkable 85 kills in the grand final against Paper Rex.
Despite these huge victories, EG couldn’t keep their star players and underwent a roster change in the 2023 off-season. Their superstar MVP player, Demon1, alongside Ethan, both were signed by NRG Esports. C0M joined LEVIATÁN, while 100 Thieves picked up Boostio and assistant coach Zikz. Jawgemo was the only remaining member of the 2023 EG squad.
Evil Geniuses brought players like Apoth, NaturE, Derrek, and Supamen to replace the championship team. However, the team struggled to recapture the magic of the previous year, failing to qualify for any international events in 2024 and finishing ninth in the Americas Stage 2
As G2 looks to build on its success, Jawgemo’s signing is seen as a significant upgrade to the team’s duelist position. His addition marks the end of Jacob “Icy” Lange’s time with the team, and Jawgemo is expected to take over as G2’s primary duelist.
The move also reunites Jawgemo with a strong core from G2’s Ascension-winning squad, including JonahP, Trent, Valyn, and former Cloud9 duelist Leaf.
