The mid-season update of Warzone 2 actively uses a football theme. Two teams of three players will be able to take to the field in the style of Rocket League, with the participation of ATVs, in a particular mode! ATVs allow you to push a soccer ball into the opponent’s zone, and pushing the ball in the game is challenging. You can only do it with an ATV. The team that scores five goals first, or the one that scores more in five minutes if there are still fewer than five, will win.
In DMZ mode, you can now play in a completely new location. Activision describes it as a secret building codenamed Building 21. Part of the mission will be to locate this place! It is stated that high-level contraband weapons can be found there and, in general, quite a lot of trophies. The Shipment map from the 2007 version of Modern Warfare also returns but will now feature a rugged environment on a cargo ship in the middle of the sea. The map is decorated in a festive style, dedicated to the winter holidays.
The first Destiny-style CoD raid is expected with the launch of Episode One. The events of the mentioned Modern Warfare 2 campaign will continue. Then a gruesome discovery will be made in an underground bunker! Players who successfully complete this raid will discover a familiar face in the form of a brand new operator, and they will be able to use it in both Warzone 2 and Multiplayer. After the first completion, a playlist with a higher difficulty level will open to test the player’s skills. Additionally, information will appear with rewarding details about the plot and new cosmetic items.
The first season of Reboot included one new weapon and two operatives. The Chimera Assault Rifle can be unlocked for free (just by completing an in-game quest) or purchased in a store bundle. Gaz from Task Force 141 is among the new operatives, and now you can also appreciate the new character, Klaus Fisker: a member of the elite special forces of Denmark, a living legend with night vision! He is not just Klaus, by the way: he is wearing a Santa hat and matching suit.

Gameplay
- The chance to encounter multiple circles in Battle Royale has been reduced to 15%, down from 33%
- The Heavy Chopper has been disabled in Battle Royale while we investigate options to balance this vehicle for late game
- Doubled the average number of Buy Stations per Battle Royale match
- The Loadout Drop public event in Battle Royale will occur during the 2nd circle, one circle earlier than before
- Reduced the cost of Primary Loadout Weapons to $2500, down from $5000

Field Upgrades
- Portable Radars can now stick to vehicles
- Radiation Blocker now prevents the use of this equipment when performing a number of different actions such as slotting in armor
- Thermite Grenades: Thermites will no longer persist on a player that was stuck, then died, and respawned again
